  • Re: Christmas Challenge - weigh in!!!

Ok, Audra. Are you guzzling the water? I know it may be tough...I am a major chocolate lover, myself...but, maybe if you force yourself to drink an entire bottle of water before letting yourself have a piece of chocolate, one of two things could happen. Either you will decide that the chocolate isn't worth having to drink a whole bottle of water

  • RE: Christman weigh in challenge.

Good for you! 10 pounds is a reasonable goal, so it won't seem too daunting. We weigh in on Fridays. Audra usually posts the thread on Friday afternoons. Just click "reply" when you go to the post and then type your weigh-in info. Look forward to seeing you there! God Bless ~~ Hilary

  • Re: Get'n Over the Weekend....

Here's what I have to do to keep things in perspective. When I eat a little more than I'm supposed to or eat something I'm really shouldn't , I start to feel guilty. If we allow ourselves to stay in that guilty mode, it will lead to the self-hate mode. We all know that the self-hate feelings make you want to sabotage yourself...and give

  • Re: Power of 10 Challenge

Ok, Coni...I see now that you WILL get me to exercise...eventually. So, I may as well give in now and just do it. Hehe. I think I'll start out w/ 10 minutes each day of either walking on my treadmill OR dancing with my kids...depending on my mood. This week has definitely showed me that exercise is necessary...I'm a believer. God Bless ~~ Hilary

  • Re: How do I describe this? Utter disbelief?

Yea for you! That is a wonderful feeling. I am starting to notice that my face shape is not actually round! Haha...and I am losing that double chin that has been a part of my profile for so long. My neck is looking smaller...which is good b/c it's kinda short...so I felt kinda like a troll there for a while. Keep going Sister C! We're gonna

  • Re: Christmas challenge - weigh in!!!

Aww...I'm SO sorry, Audra. I totally know how you feel. I had a no lose weigh-in week before last and then only lost one pound last week. So, I've been feeling pretty frustrated for the last 2 weeks. I'm sure you'll post a loss next week! I had a pretty happy weigh-in. Lost 2 pounds . Yea! I believe I proved to myself this week that

  • Re: What will you make for Thanksgiving/holidays?

Hahaha... HoliWEEK ...LOVE it!! For me, it's always more like a HoliMONTH times 2 !! BUT, we WILL do better THIS year! I am also planning to cut down on the desserts. Maybe 2 pies instead of 3. And one cake...instead of cake, brownies, and cookies. I am finding it easier to bake these days. I don't feel like I HAVE to eat a bunch of everything

  • Re: My Apology to the Group

We're still here for you, Michelle!! Maybe you could just occasionally post about how you think the patch may be aiding your weightloss on your own profile page. You could add it in with your journal (if you do one). That way, if anyone is interested, they can contact you by personal message. Broken foot...ouch! Are you in a cast? ---How long does

WooHoo! You're in the 170's now, Audra! Way to go! I FINALLY lost one stinking pound after not losing anything last week. That puts my total weight loss to 30 pounds since Sept. 1. YEA!!!! That excitement was reserved for the 30 pounds lost, NOT the one measly pound in two weeks. But, I guess I should be pleased about that pound b/c I am definitely

  • Re: Surprise for my doctor

Ok...it's official...I LOVE my new doctor. This was only the second time I had met with her, so we don't know each other very well. When she first came in the examining room, she kept looking at me funny. She said that I look different and asked if I am wearing my hair different...I cracked a little smile at that comment, of course...after the
