  • Re: New to the site but sticking to it

That's how I felt a long time ago. Was in a 22-24 and just did not realize how big I really was. UNTIL......the boyfriend, now husband, took a picture of me without me knowing.. Woa, who WAS that woman? At 300 lbs it was scary. Buckled down and got down to 140 in about 2 years. It was hard but the end result was/is worth it. Maintained for 3 years

  • First Day at the Local Aqautic Center

It felt so good to get in the water and swim and exercise. Tomorrow I will be doing the exercise room. Need to be shown how to operate machines. New stuff, have no clue how to even turn them on, let alone program it for me. People at work think I am crazy to go workout right after work. They are like, didn't you get enough exercise at work. Not

  • Re: Overcoming a Plateau?

How much are you wanting to lose? If it is not a lot it will take a little longer. Heavier people lose more rapidly in the first month, I lost almost 15 pounds. Then it went to a more normal 1.5 to 2 a week. Then it stopped....dead in it's tracks....for close to 5 WEEKS! Was making me a little more crazy then normal. Did not lose sight of the goal

  • Re: when your sick

It's going around. Sick here too! It's been hard to stick to the diet this last week. All I want is the comfort foods. Salad? Blah! I'll be happy if I don't gain. At least I have managed to stay away from the really, REALLY bad stuff. Ice Cream, pastries, pasta and pizza. Plus, to add to the problem I fell and injured my leg. So not

  • Re: delete?

Can I ask why? I don't know if you can delete or not. Are you not happy with SF or is it just not working well for you? How long you been around?

  • Re: shake question

I do the same thing. Has not hurt me any and as long as you are taking in to account the extra calories it should not matter. I even add coffee to the cappucinno delights. Others add in bannana and other fresh fruit. As long as you stay with the skim milk you'll be fine.

  • Re: Anyone not really doing the SF plan?

The types of food that you can access would be a good thing to list. Fruits, veggies, yogurts are all good. Whole wheat breads are best. Low fat spreads are good, just use a little less. Stay away from fried foods. Stick with roasted or baked. Salads are great. Watch the dressings. Even a can of the powdered SF is a good idea. Less pricey then the canned

  • Re: Dancing

Me too, SuzyQ. Still have to wonder how I managed to do it and not hurt myself. Younger, lots thinner. Military ball. My leg on his hip and shimminying down to the floor wearing 3 inch stillito heels. Now it's my ankle on his hip. He was a VERY stable partner for dance, he just hung on to that leg. LOL Tall too....6'5". Mind you, I'm

  • Re: first week

I sit down on Saturday with the hubby and make out the whole week meal plan. It does help to plan ahead instead of the Oh Well, nothing to eat in the house hafta go out routine. Plus, its easier when you go to the store. None of oh, hey pizza...that looks good either. So congrats on the 3 pounds, keep up the good work!
