  • Re: Thanksgiving is coming and I can already taste it.

oh yes! I plan to eat a little....but just a little...of EVERYTHING I want. I have found that just a small amount of something "forbidden" makes me not want to eat it as much and then I can just ignore it. Definitley, going to drink a lot of water while I cook so I am nice and full before the meal. I love the tight pants idea too! I also plan

SW: 216 10\17: 208 10\24: 203 GW: 180 Woot! Down 5lbs! KInda makes up for the past few weeks only losing 1 or 2 lbs. I cut my calories back a little and bumped up the exercise so that probably helped. I was really worried because it was my wedding anniversary this week and we went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner (I know right, the worst idea ever

SW: 216 CW: 208 GW: 180 Well, only two pounds gone but it's better than nothing. I've really got to step up my game if I'm going to hit my goal by Christmas. I need to be losing at least 3 pounds a week to get there. I've been thinking about adding an extra 30 min. work out per day to see if that kick starts anything. We will see...

  • Re: Empowered

I've been doing the couch to 5K program to now for about 3 weeks! Whew, I had no idea I was in such bad shape. I may end up having to add a few extra weeks to the program because I don't know if I can keep up with the week 4 times. We will see though, good luck!

  • Re: christmas challenge - weigh in!!!

Well I'm back on the wagon after a couple week sabbatical d\t learning I was pregnant and then miscarrying. I put a couple pounds on but now I've taken them back off. I was really angry with myself d\t eating so emotionally. I thought I was over that, but as soon as it happened I'm burying myself in ice cream. But after I saw the two pound

SW: 216 9\20: 214 GW: 180 2 lbs gone...not bad, was hoping for 3. I'm starting a couch to 5K program this week so hopefully next week will be a big loss with all the jogging I'm doing this week. Everybody keep up the good work.

  • Re: Christmas Challenge!!! First weigh in

SW: 217 GW: 180 37 pounds! What am I thinking? Actually I've been losing 2-3 pounds per week so that should put me right on track. 180 is my original goal weight. When I started this I was 320 wanting to get down to 180. 140lbs gone sounds like a pretty good Christmas present to me!

  • Re: Does anyone want to lose the weight so they can have a baby?

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for over two years now. I have an endocrine disorder that makes conceiving pretty difficult d\t ovulation issues and we have done pretty much every fertility treatment, except for in vitro (d\t the cost..my insurance doesn't cover infertility. It's a complete crock but don't get me started on

Hey kimmy, When I read what you said about insulin resistance I wanted to offer you some advice from a gal who has been there. I'm 26 and have always struggled with my weight. In my early teens I lost a ton of weight through basic starvation because "normal" diets didn't work. I couldn't seem to lose any weight unless I was eating
