Your challenge helped me drop 4 pounds this week and put myself well into the 250's. Goodbye 260's you won't be missed!! I am now at the weight I was before I got pregnant with my 1st son and almost the weight I was when I met my husband (I never was a thin person). A lot of you talk about losing weight and feeling like "you" again. I was in the 250's for so much of my life that now I do feel like "me" again. But even then I was always trying to lose weight and never happy with my size, so I'll enjoy the nostalgia but am looking forward to discovering an even newer, healthier me!!

Thank you SisterC!!!!!

Exercise: none Water: 56 oz. I had to leave the house an hour and a half earlier than I usually do because my car is in the shop and my husband had to take me to work. So that shot my morning exercise. I thought about doing it after I put the kids to bed since that is the only other time I have, but I know if I exercise at 9:00 at night I'll never get to sleep. Oh well...I also came up a glass short on water and only had 1 SF shake, although I did stay under my calorie limit. Now I am thrilled about all of the snow cause I just had a wonderful time snowshoeing with my youngest son. We went all the way out back to the vineyards and I can tell you in a foot and a half of snow that was no easy task!! My legs were feeling the burn! Then we came back and he wanted a 'path" from the shed to the garden (halfway across our huge yard). So I got to shoveling! Most people shovel driveways or sidewalks, I shovel paths across the grass in our yard. Well at least now my arms and shoulders got a workout too! I am so proud of myself right now, I could hug me!! Six months to stick to anything is pretty amazing, and to still feel like I am going strong at this point is down right miraculous! Life is getting so much better. I am finally feeling like myself again and am so excited about the future. I look in the mirror and I like what I see so far. I can see and feel the changes everyday and it reminds me of how far I have come. I've said it before and I'll likely say it many more times along the way, but I cannot thank all of you enough for everything that you do. I just can't imagine how I would have been able to make it this long without you! This is a very special place filled with wonderful, caring people and I am blessed to be here!

6 whole months with Slim-Fast!!

Who lost 50 pounds? My kids have been bothering me about it because it keeps asking them about me when they play. So I finally did it this morning. I was down 28.6 pounds since the last time I had used it and my Wii fit age was 31 which is sweet since I just turned 34. My nine year old had a Wii fit age of 33 yesterday so I'll show him! This was the first time I had used the new features of the Wii Fit Plus, I like them. More choices, and ability to do routines. While I wait for my elliptical roller to arrive I guess I'll work on beating all my kids scores:)

I got on my Wii Fit this morning for the first time in over a year!!

So I am weighing in today for SisterC's week long double-dog dare and for my birthday challenge to have 50 pounds gone. I regret to say that I came up a 1/2 pound short for my 50 pound goal but I did lose 2.5 pounds this week to get me awfully close. I usually round my weight up but it sounds much nicer to only be a 1/2 pound away!!! My family took me out yesterday to celebrate my birthday since week nights are hard. There was a beautiful brunch buffet with all sorts of yummy choices but I forwent that and ordered a veggie wrap with side salad (instead of their awesome homemade potato chips) off the menu. I tried to feel good about my choice, but I really wanted the brunch..why do I always feel deprived?? Anyway, everyone sang happy birthday and three of us split the piece of carrot cake so that wasn't too bad. Hope everyone has a great and healthy week!

Found an old pic of me in my redhead days. That was my weigh-in yesterday and I was glad for it. I had a bad weekend and was sure I was looking at a gain. I have been having trouble lately, feeling hungrier, thinking about food a lot. And I mean A LOT! It's like I keep thinking about all the things I shouldn't have anymore. And I wish I could say that it's ok, I can still have some of them in moderation, but I don't want them in moderation! When I think about having ice cream, chinese food, pizza, pasta, garlic bread, etc., I don't dream about a small serving, I dream about heaping plates of the stuff. It's crazy, I feel like an addict who needs their fix. I was 2 seconds away from stopping into McDonald's yesterday morning to get a egg and cheese biscuit and hashbrowns. When I am not even watching my diet I probably only eat that once or twice a year but all of the sudden I had an urge and during my 45 minute drive all I could think about was that and if I would stop or not. I drove on past thankfully, but I did not survive the pizza temptation at dinner. I only had a piece (and the crusts from my sons slices) but I am just mad that I couldn't resist. So I don't know what my problem is, but I hope I can go back to being satisfied with healthy choices and proper portions, like I was before. Maybe this is just a phase, but it's really HARD! I don't know if I will make my birthday goal or not ( not looking good), but for now I am just happy that I haven't given up and that I am still here muddling through. Thank you to all of my buddies, it's your support and friendship that keeps me here during these tough times.

Zero, nada.

Yesterday I wore a pair of size 18 pants!
