About Me

Inside me really does live a skinny lady.  She's there but I feel like I'm wearing a big fat suit.  I work as a childbirth educator and one of my props is an "empathy belly" where dads can put on the belly, weighing about 35 pounds to feel what it would be like to be pregnant.  When they take it off, it feels like such a relief, even when only worn for a few minutes.  I want to take off my "empathy belly" and feel that relief.  I love to hike and hiking is less enjoyable every year because I'm dragging me and a few empathy bellies up the hill.  I woke up this morning weighing the most I've ever weighed.  I have been at such a loss as to HOW to get the weight off.  I'm confused by diets, calorie intact etc.  I met a woman who has lost subtantial weight using medifast and after looking at the program thought SF could do the same thing for less cost.  I've been inspired looking through the message board and am so happy to see how you all support each other.  I can tell ya right now, I'm gonna need support.  I have a very long hike ahead of me and hope to leave a pounds behind me as I climb.

I won't change my ticker...I know it's the water retention with the pms.  It will be down again next week.

  • down 3 pounds

Whether it be the water...more activity or saying no to the candy...I'm happy to have lost 3 pounds.  It looks really good to see my ticker with a 17 pound loss!

very long induction...very tired...dehydrated...sleep deprivation is an awful thing.  However, I did terrific with food and water at the hospital, but was there 24 hours before I came home.  Slept most the day.  Woke to eat my shakes etc, but water is lacking and my body doesn't like it.  Just drank a glass.  I'm sure I will easily go to bed tonight after substitute teaching for a sick coworker tonight.  It's not the diet that has me down...it's the lack of sleep!  I love my work, but not today.  =)

going to an induction this morning.  Hard to say if I will be able to log on tonight or not, but will pack my bag with sf and be prepared.  Usually easy to get water while I am being a doula so I will get set up with that too.

Well, I started with wonderful intentions this morning.  I drank 8 ounces of water, Filled my 20 ounce cup (with a straw) with ice water to take with me to work and bam...forgot to bring it with me.  had trouble the rest of the day keeping up with water, had a bigger appetite than usual...hmmm.  Water is so important!  I see this very clearly.

I have help that I am using along with the slimfast program.  It is all natural and there is no ephedra.  It is only a help and not a magic cure.  It only help you if you are eating right and getting yourself healthy.  Only if you want information, you can contact me, wyattmichelle@ymail.com.  I will give you more information only if it is requested.  It has helped my family get over the plateaus.

Doesn't it seem like it hangs around more than once a month???  That was always my take on it...but as long as you know those 3 lbs are going to leave again next week, it isn't quite so bad.  Just frustrating for you...I don't blame you for not wanting to change that ticker...I wouldn't either! Just stick with the healthy eating and exercise...those pounds are going to come off...give it time.   Have a good weekend!  Hugs, SisterC
