  • Missing you

Hey there. I was just thinking about you, so thought I'd swing by to ask.....WHERE ARE YOU?!  Hope all is well in your life.  We'd love to hear from you.  God Bless ~~ Hilary

  • TGIF

Just checking on my buddy and see how it is all going.  Hope you enjoyed the long weekend for MLK.  Thank goodness Friday is here again.  How have things been going?  Not seeing you post as often and just making sure all is AOK in your life.  Miss it.

  • Thanks for the wonderful comment!

Yes, today I have been able to celebrate more than the 100+ pounds...my kids have turned out as wonderful adults...young adults, but nonetheless...they are wonderful!  And even though it has been work along the way; I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.  The rewards are worth it!  Hang in there...life has so much to offer and is full of surprises!  Hugs, SisterC

  • Hello

Glad to hear your still here and glad I read your post I thought I was the only one not getting my mail from slimfast I thought they dumped me for not using there products ok I feel better now. I'm glad your hanging in there.

  • Off the wagon and in the dirt

Water is the one thing that keeps me in check.. and thanks for staying with me on this journey.  I hate not getting emails anymore either.  Don't feel bad about the gaining losing.. just check out my posts.  I've gained 8 pounds in a week or 5 pounds.. and I keep just going.. I'm the poster girl for falling off the wagon.  I'm in the dirt more often than riding with the rest of the peeps on here.  I figure I just make everyone feel better about themselves.  We all got a purpose..

  • How is the New Year going so far?

Just stopping in to check on you...been a few days since you posted...are you doing alright? Seems like getting through the holidays has been rough for so many of us....we still struggle to eat healthy and in portion control...I nibbled on a few treats myself and had no loss at my last weigh in...and rather doubt I will see a loss tomorrow morning at my weigh in...we are celebrating Christmas today at one of my sisters....postponed due to weather last week...so, give me strength; the tables will be loaded with not-so-healthy foods.  Hope you are doing okay.  Remember, on this journey...you are never alone!!  Hugs, SisterC

  • New Years is coming..

Just wanted to see how the holidays went for you.  I felt like a Macy's Day Balloon on Monday.  A lot of the bloating must of been water retention, you could see it in my fingers.  I've been drinking a lot of water for two days now.  Adding a squirt of lemon, I've read a few of the SF people swear by this.. I'll try it and see how it does, can't hurt.  I was almost happy to be back to work Monday.. I need the structure to keep me on the path.  Now that Christmas is behind us.. as well as Halloween & Thanksgiving, we have New Years!  This is a great holiday for healthy eaters.. all the magazine, papers, and TV broadcast are speckled with healthy tips.  I'm ready to really start pushing myself.  We are going to really do this New Years right!

  • How's it going?

Just stopping by to see how your Christmas went.  Glad to see you lost a pound last weigh day.  I think that losses this time of year are especially pleasing.  I have not lost the last couple of weeks...but, I have not gained either.  Kinda nice to see that I CAN maintain my weight.  Used to be a constant gain, gain, gain.  Hope your holiday was wonderful.  Mine was nice, but hectic.  I usually enjoy Christmas more once it's over...if that makes any sense.  I love to DVR my favorite Christmas movies and watch one a day for several days after Christmas.  Guess I'm happier once the pressure is off.  Hope to hear from you soon.  God Bless ~~ Hilary

  • Happy Holidays to you!

You lost during the most difficult time of the year!! Way to go!  I am sure I will not have a good weigh in...ate a bit more than I should have yesterday.  But it is only one day and I am back on track today...going to step up the exercise for the next week and see where I am to start the new year...of course, it is so much better than where I started last year!  Hope your Christmas was celebrated with peace, love and joy....you deserve some relaxing time in your hectic life...I am always so proud to check in on you and find you haven't given up...you will make it...slow and steady...heading into the new year to discover a new you...wishing you all the best!  Hugs, SisterC

  • Merry Christmas Lady

Big congratulation on dropping that pd.  I was worried we were going to lose you.  I thought for sure you might just give up especially with your work scheuld..I thought ok something is bound to give and more than likely she will give up on her self.  I was happy to read your post that you had lost a pd which is great especially this time of the year..........I'm worried about my self I had to bake this awesome banana cake and two lemon cheese cakes to take for dinner tomorrow and I baked some oatmeal chocolate chip pecan cookies and ate 11 of them I hate myself right now they are so good........my sugar was running high but I drank a cup of applecider vinergar that took care of the problem. I was feeling like I was going to have a stroke but it passed I purchased all my stuff for my Dec 26 colon cleanser no after Christmas sale for me I will be at home cleaning out the sugar and every other mistake I make tomorrow it's one day and I will not let this one meal get the best of me I will be on the battle field or more to the point the toliet...........I am making me two pitchers of lipton tea with lemon to run that thru my body.  Well I'm off to wrap up my gifts I'm a  last minute person.  I pray great health for you and your family and a Merry Christmas to you all........Lynda

  • 1 pound! way to go!

I was thinking about you yesterday, and I'm happy to read that you loss a pound!  There are so many people around you gaining this time of year.. and you have beat the odds this week.  I too have caved to the Christmas treats around me.. not too much, not as much a last year for sure, but still have a nibble here and there.  I'm not going to add too much preasure to my life this time of year.  I will do my best... but in the end, once Christmas is over.. then it is time to VERY serious.  so this week.. just kinda serious.  I hope I lose a pound myself.. that will make me happy enough.

  • Down a Pound!!!

Yipeee!!  I don't know why the scale sometimes drops when we least expect it; but hey, take the loss and don't look back!!  A pound gone is a pound gone!  I am proud of you for sticking with it even when your life has been so hectic...kuddos to you!  Keep up the good work and drink your water....Hugs, SisterC

  • I WIN :(

Gravy, a five pound gain in two weeks.. I did 8 in one so I got ya beat on that, but not happy winning this competition between us J  You know, the being busy, not checking in here has hurt me so much.  Buddies like you is the reason I’m still going at this battle and I’m not giving up even when the chips are down.  We can and will succeed, just takes time.  Since my internet went down, then the computer broken, house falling apart, the move, the EVERYTHING that came with that.. I tried my best to check in here!  Came in early to work.. did it at lunch.. but when I needed the boost, that healthy fix, I couldn’t get it.  Ultimately I’m not strong enough to do this alone, not yet.  Computer should be going today, and the move is over.. just need to get the Christmas put up and shopped and cooked.. then, I’ll have time.  I feel you on this.. we need time.  Glad your not giving up.. Especially on me!  Thanks for all the positives I’ve needed over this past month..

  • Hey there

Glad you checked in. We've missed you!  A 5 pound gain is a bummer.  Seriously, how DOES it come on SO fast??  If you ever find the answer to that one, please let me know!  Not fair that it takes 2 weeks to put on 5, but usually at least 3 to take it off.  Of course, I've been known to gain 5 pounds in 2 or 3 days before.  Don't want to see that on the scale again!  Good that you're still doing your shakes...just make sure you're also drinking tons of water...it's the only thing that has saved me the last couple of weeks when my eating hasn't been the best.  Hope to hear more from you soon.  God Bless ~~ Hilary

  • Weigh in Monday...

How are you doing?  Any news to share?  Believe in yourself; you can do this!  Whenever you are tempted, drink a glass of water first...then take just two bites of the food...it has less calories than the whole piece and you still get the same taste.  I have decided that once I check the calorie content...then I have to walk long enough to burn those calories before I eat the tempting foods...boy, that really makes me think... how bad do I really want those high calorie items? LOL  Okay, just wanted you to know that you were not forgotten about...Monday is your weigh in day yet, isn't it?  Keep us posted and stay strong!  Hugs, SisterC

  • Sorry

read the Thanksgiving post saw the Dec post and now I feel better glad your cutting back on the salty foods and eating more fresh foods good for you.  When you can, make you up some snack size cut up veggies and unsalted nuts to take along with you for those trouble times it really helps.

  • Hello

Hello Lady, I was thinking about you wondering how it is going for you.....I hope your hanging in there.  I didn't see a recent post.........twistygirl

  • Okay, today was Monday...weigh in day...

How'd it go for you today?  Did the scale move yet?  Just wondering....and glad you are still working the plan!  Enjoy your evening.  Hugs, SisterC

  • Hope all is well with you

We haven't seen any posts from you  this past week, so I'm just checking up on you!  It's a busy time of year and I am finding it diificult to keep up on everything myself.  I have slacked off on my exercise most of all.  My weight loss is slowing down, but after the holidays I will be able to focus on ME again!  I am just grateful to have so many understanding hearts on this website that I can chat with.  Take care, Jodie
