Thank you for answering my buddy request. I would love the opportunity to become diet buddies....Encouragement, motivation, diet tips and support, are important to being successful. It has worked out for me in the past. Yes, I do live in Sunny South Florida, sorry to rub it in.... Terrible Huh? I am originally from New Jersey, but we moved to Miami when I was a child. I am truly sorry for all your snow.... Where do you live????? Do you have a treadmill in your home? Well... As for me I have set a goal of 40 lbs for the first 12 weeks. I know that it is a large amount of weight to lose, but as long as do lose some weight. I will be happy... Do you think 40 lbs is too drastic? Total I want to lose a total of 85 lbs. I have been walking every other day, not power walking, about an hour at a time. I tried to do a exercise DVD, but that is when I realized that I have let myself get terribly out of shape. But, I feel very optimistic and I really want to achieve my goals..... I have come to realize how important it is to be organized and plan out my food in advanced. I have been measuring out my food and putting in little Ziploc baggies and planning out my food a day or two in advance. How has it been going on the plan? Did you cheat or were you good? It must have been a real challenge to keep up with your diet with all the holiday food. I went to a children's birthday party this weekend and I took my food with me... LOL!!! Fortunately for me it was a family member and I wasn't too embarrassed, but my boyfriend was very supportive and I am proud of myself. I was so good... but it was a lot harder than I thought it would be. How about you? How much have you lost, since you started in December? How much do you want to lose in total? I am here to help, because together we can achieve more..... Hope to hear from you soon.
Viviana

Thanks for the comment! I am doing good so far but I think the first week is the easiest. Well that probably doesn't make much sense but so far it has been going well and I really hope to stay with it as times goes on. It does make it easier that my husband is on the diet too but he works nights 4 days a week so that's 4 dinners I really have to be careful with. I usually end up with a bowl of Healthy Choice soup! I am discovering new and tasty healthy snacks and I keep a list of them on my fridge so when I get the urge to nibble I can look there! At the end of my pregnancy I had gained 30 lbs which doesn't sound so bad but because I was overweight to begin with, it was probably more than neccessary. Oh well, I have my healthy beautiful baby girl now and she's what keeps me going! I use the treadmill at the gym mostly and my hubby has designed some exercise routines I can do at home (he was in the military!) Well GTG talk to you soon!

Thanks for the comment! I know what you mean about starting to eat and not being able to stop. I've done that soooo many times and always feel bad afterwards! I'll be 40 this coming March and I so much wanted to be at my goal weight. I was kinda down on myself about that, but I thought "hey, you have the whole year to get to goal weight and can do it before 41"!!! I just keep trying. But that's a big goal for me for 2009. I want to lose around 40 lbs. How 'bout you? I'll talk to you later!
