    I'm proud of myself for staying on track these past few days!!

    If you haven't paid attention to my "About Me", then I'll let you all know that I've restarted my weight loss plan for the 3rd time. I can do this! I've been very active lately except for Wednesday & Thursday. I don't want to jinx myself so I'm not going to list my weight until Monday morning.

    I think the main thing that has been helping me stay on track is that I can't really eat much... I had surgery Friday morning (2/19/2010) to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted so the only things I've been able to eat are mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, soft veggies, cut up soft fruits, sugar-free jello puddings, and drinking lots of water and cran/apple juice.

    I did buy the new Hydroxycut pills. The ephedra free ones because it's now illegal since it kills people & causes liver damage... I have only taken it once so far which was Wednesday. The directions on the box says to to take one pill twice a day for 3 days, 2 pills twice a day for days 4-6, 3 pills twice a day for up to a month or however long you plan on using them. I am choosing my own routine which is to start out even slower. I am choosing to take only ONE pill a day for about 3-4 days, then I will increase to one pill twice a day for about 2 weeks to see how it's working for me. If it's working great, then I'll continue for another 2 weeks, then stop for a week, then take it another two weeks and so on until I reach my goal of 120 lbs. :]

  • Day #16 Using the Wii Fitness

    Okay, so I kind of took a 5-day break using the Wii Fitness because last Thursday and Friday I was extremely sore and was limping when walking from place to place. When Saturday & Sunday came around, I was still a little sore, but not a whole lot, but I still didn't want to do anything. I rested those days since it was the weekend and my two days off of work.

    Monday I got home too late... Tuesday night I did finally get back to working out! I didn't do anything strenuous. Just the basic & advanced steps & then the advanced hula hoop workout. After those I did the "free step" in which you can just walk for 10 minutes and reach a goal of 800 steps or more while watching tv! So I did that one twice. lol  Burned over 50 calories & did more than 800 steps each time! Go me!

    Wednesday, I did not workout using the Wii Fitness because my loving boyfriend was supposed to have the day off and instead had to go into work and wasn't even getting paid for it!!!!! So when we got home and his new game arrived in the mail, I let him play it. :]
    Besides I walked for 20 minutes or more waiting on him to pick me up from work, so technically I got to work out.

    A coworker of mine asked me if I'd like to do the Special K 2-week challenge and I said yes.
    We will both start on Saturday! I'm kind of excited, too. I'm going to eat strictly what is on my meal plan. I will let you all know how my results turn out.

  • Day #8 Using the Wii Fitness

    I'm happy to say that I burned over 270 calories tonight using our Wii Fitness DVD!

    Also, the con about it all is that my entire body aches now. :[
    The part that hurts the most is my calves and the area around my tailbone! Ouchie!

  • Starting Over

    I've done horrible over the holidays. I've started over today...

    Wish me good luck!! This is my new years resolution.

  • Day 12 of Slim Fast

    Ahh!! I got excited this morning when I got on the scale. I know I'm only counting each WEEKly weigh in which is only once a week and that's every Monday, but I was curious if my weight went up because of last night with me eating spaghetti after 7 PM...

    It actually declined 2 pounds which is a total of 5 pounds loss so far!! BUT I am not actually counting it until Monday, so we'll see what my weigh in will be and if it stays.

  • Day 11 of Slim Fast

    I woke up this morning at 6 to use my elliptical for about 15-20 minutes and to do a few other exercises. I ended up using my elliptical for 15 minutes and boy did I break a sweat! After that I did a little stretching for about 5 minutes and then I did a few crunches & cross-crunches.

    Today when I go home I will try to walk for at least 30 minutes!!!!

  • Day 8 of Slim Fast

    Saturday was an okay day for me. My exercise plan was the following:

    Use my elliptical for 10 minutes, take a 15-minute break, do another 10 minutes on the elliptical, take another 15-minute break & do my last 10 minutes on the elliptical.

    What actually happened was this...

    I got on my elliptical for 10 minutes, took a 15-minute break, got on it again for 10 minutes. I got hungry so I fixed a small salad and drank a Weight Loss shake. I waited 5-10 minutes then got back on my elliptical, but my stomach felt nausious so I told mysself to go for at least 5 minutes, then get off which I did.

    So I did a total of 25 minutes on my elliptical on Saturday.


    Sunday was a great, beautiful day! I went walking around my apartment complex's tennis court for 35 minutes!! Only bad thing is I ate 2 1/2 servings of spaghetti for lunch!! It wasn't too bad because it was the whole grain wheat (Healhty Harvest Ronozini) noodles and  a little Prego Mini Meatbal meat sauce. I restricted my whole week except for my Sunday dinner, so I'm still proud of myself! I'm still down 3 pounds. Woohoo!!!!!!!


    Today I will try to do some stretching & other exercises like a few crunches and maybe use my pilates for beginners DVD.

  • Day 5 of Slim Fast

    Today is day 5 for me and I have to say I've been eating well, but I haven't really been exercising. I've been so busy this past week and I've barely been home to do anything.

    Today I plan on walking for at least 30 minutes on my elliptical machine or maybe walk for 20 minutes and do 10 minutes on my elliptical. I know I'll burn more calories by using my elliptical, but it can get boring just being there in place even while watching tv or listening to music.

    I just need to DO IT!! No excuses.

    Also, I have to admit that I am not drinking the SLIM FAST brand shakes as they don't taste good to me. I've been drinking the Equate Weight Loss Shakes from Wal-Mart and they are so yummy!!

    All in all, so far from Sunday, I've lost 2 pounds, but I believe it's just water weight as pretty much everyone's first 5 pounds which is why it comes and goes. I'm not going to post actual results unless the scale tells me at least an 8 -10 pound loss and is staying.
