  • 2 pounds this week

    I lost 2 pounds this week which means I finally made it to my 40's on the scale. I'm only 3 1/2 pounds away from my goal too. Yippee!!!! 48 pounds gone.

  • One more pound loss

    I lost a pound this week. It was nice seeing that because I'm getting closer to my goal and have been the same weight the last 2 weeks. I'm just one pound away from seeing my 40's on the scale. I can't wait till I see them!

  • Stayed the same

    I stayed the same this week. 6.5 pounds more to go! Really was hoping to see the next digit on the scale but maybe next week.

  • 1 1/2 more pounds

    Well this week I lost 1 1/2 pounds. I'm just 6.5 pounds away from my goal. Just 2 more pounds and I get to see the next digit down on the scale. Haven't seen that in forever!!!

  • Getting closer

    This week I lost 1 1/2 pounds. I was pleased with that. I'm 8 pounds away from my original goal weight. I went shopping last night and was able to buy a pair of jeans in a size 8 and a wool coat in a size small. That was thrilling. Like I said I may decide to lose another 5 or 10 once I get to my goal weight but I just want to reach my original goal weight first.

  • 5 Months of healthy eating and exercising

    Well I started eating healthy and exercising on August 30th and it makes 5 months now. Hard to believe. This week I lost 2 pounds for a total of 42 pounds in 5 months. I'm so glad I decided to change my life for the better. Also I'm only 9.5 pounds away from my goal weight. However, when I get there I may decide to lose another 10. Will have to see once I get there.

    This week I stayed the same. Oh well,  it happens!

  • 40 Pounds, "Appropriate" BMI & 3 pound loss this week

    This week I lost 3 pounds. I was so suprised when I got on the scale this morning and it showed a 3 pound loss, especially at this point of the weight loss journey. That put me at 40 pound weight loss! WoooHoooo. Also, I checked my BMI on the tools page here and now I am considered "appropriate" BMI with a BMI of 24! Hope everyone else had an awesome week too.

  • New pic and another pound

    I decided I needed an updated pics as I have seen so many of you post new ones too. This pic was taken on Christmas day. The last one was taken a few days before I started this healthy weight loss journey. I lost another pound today. Was happy because that brings me into the next tens frame on the scale. Haven't seen that tens frame in years and years.

  • New Year's Weigh In

    Well I made it thru the holidays and lost 2 more pounds this week. That makes my total weight loss of 36 pounds since August 30th. I did have a more challenging week this week but I made it thru. First off I went out to eat one night this week with my girls. I don't eat out too much; I mostly eat in so I can control how things are made. I decided on ordering the steak tips and mashed potatos and had a cup as soup as a appetizer. So, not too bad. Secondly, every year since before my youngest daughter has been born I have always ordered chinese takeout on New Year's Eve. You see, my youngest daughter's birthday just happens to be New Year's Eve and she knows I have been trying to lose weight and eat healthy so she asked if I would still be doing it this year. Well it was her 13th birthday and I didn't want to break tradition so I went ahead and ordered. I got a pupu platter, extra chicken fingers (since those are my daughter's favorites), veggie lo mein and beef with mushrooms oh and I also got a wonton soup. Well I had the soup, a tiny scoop of the beef with mushroom, lo mein and one beef teriyaki. I think I did ok. Well we had plenty of leftovers so on New Year's Day I also decided to eat a little but this time I only had some beef with mushrooms and a teriyaki. After that I told them they could eat the rest cuz I wasn't having anymore. I also bought her mini chocolate cupcakes but refrained from those. But I did still go to the gym every day this week for 2 hours (which is my normal routine) and did cardio. So I was happy to see a 2 pound loss. Hope everyone else had a wonderful New Year.

  • Christmas week weigh in

    Well I lost one pound this week. That's pretty good for being Christmas week so I'll take it. I almost met my Christmas goal by 3 pounds. I wanted to see the next digit on the scale but I'm only 3 pounds away so not too bad.

  • 2 more pounds off

    This week I lost another 2 pounds. With the holidays and all the parties that have been going on I am very pleased with that. 33 pounds down!

  • Lost another pound

    Got on the scale this morning and lost another pound. When I went to adjust my ticker I accidentally took a pound off my starting weight. I tried fixing it but maybe you only adjust it once a day. Anyway, I'm at a 31 pound loss not 29.

  • 30 pounds!

    I lost 2 pounds this week which makes my total weight loss of 30 pounds. It's nice to see the scale keep moving in the right direction.

  • One pound gain

    Well this week I gained a pound. Not sure where I went wrong but I am assuming it's probably just fluid retention. I did work out at the gym 2 hours everyday, try drinking all my fluids and eating healthy. So, its a temporarily roadblock that I will break thru next week. I will keep plugging away.
