Sounds to me like you are having a sugar issue...so, it is actually pretty amazing that you have maintained that 10 pound loss. I know that with me, a little sugar leads to a LOT of sugar. There are certain foods that I know I can't allow myself to have right now b/c they are "trigger" foods. I'm like a junky...if I start getting high on sugar, I just want more and more. You're gonna have to kiss Subway cookies goodbye...actually scratch that! A "kiss" may lead to a "bite"! Drink your water, limit your sugar...and get your sweet fix from the shakes. Glad you're back on the wagon! I lost 4 pounds my first week and 5 pounds my second week. But, please keep in mind that I think that you started out weighing less than me. (I started SF weighing 240). Usually, the more you weigh when you start a diet, the more you'll lose the first few weeks. Some people only lose a pound or so their first week. I really think that you need to step back and look at the progress you are making. Are you feeling better physically...are you feeling better emotionally...are you proud of yourself for making positive changes?? If any of those answers are yes, then the 3 pounds is just a happy bonus! If you set your goals too high and unreachable, then you are much more likely to throw in the towel out of frustration. I know how anxious you are to lose weight and drop sizes...BELIEVE me...I KNOW!!! Here I am after two weeks and weighing about 10 pounds less and I am thrilled...but, I started out so heavy that probably no one can even tell I've lost any weight...I'm embarrassed to even tell anyone that I've lost 10 pounds b/c I know they're probably looking at me and thinking "good grief, if she's already lost 10 pounds, how much does she weigh?? I can't even tell she's lost!!" But, I know that I am feeling happier and more energetic. My aches and pains are doing a little better and I'm starting to feel like exercise is doable. So, hang in there! If you are losing weight, then you are doing great! If you are trying, you will reap the rewards...it just takes time. Don't give up. All the effort will pay off! You should be very proud. For me, once I got through the first 3 or 4 days, it has been a lot easier to stick with. I still need to incorporate real exercise into my plan. Hope the weekend goes great for you. Just stay strong! If you think your kids' evening snack is going to be a stumbling block for you, just try to make sure you make it something healthy. I have small children and for the most part, their bedtime snack usually consists of fruit or yogurt. If they are having something "bad" that I want to stay away from, I try to stay in a different room or occupy myself by washing dishes or getting their toothbrushes ready. One snacksize candy shouldn't throw your week off...unless it leads to more candy! You're doing just fine. Just keep going!
