I never liked fruits or veggies very much, and I'd eat pasta and chocolate instead. Luckily I was never very heavy until adulthood. Even after having 6 surgeries, 4 of them major, in the late 90's, I still ate whatever I wanted and barely exercised. It's really caught up with me in the last 10 years as I've gained over 120 lbs. A few months ago I started getting really bad indigestion whenever I ate something I shouldn't, such as fried or greasy things. Then on 7/1 my kids and I went to Burger King and as usual, I ended up hurting later on. Finally my brain woke up, and I prayed, "God, when am I going to stop doing this to myself? Please help me." I researched several different diet plans and decided that SF was the cheapest and most convenient plan for me, while still being sensible and healthy. I've also bought a few of the "Eat This, Not That" books. It's been 8 weeks now and I've lost 19 lbs. so far. I'm so glad I'm finally doing this, and I feel so much better already. I look forward to keeping it up, and I thank God for guiding me on this journey.

All my life I've never been very health-conscious.
