So, I am trying Slim-Fast for the first time and dieting for that matter. When I was in High School I never had a problem with weight - I was actually too skinny according to my mother and averaged around a size 3/4. Once I got into my 20's weight just atarted coming even though I did not change any of my eating habits. I have always been a pretty healthy eater (love almost all veggies and salads). Well when I was 25 I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome/Disease (PCOS) and I stay bloated and do not have regular cycles. If I do have a period it can last for weeks or months and I can go without a period for months at a time (longest has been 6 months). Anyway, I strongly feel  that my weight problem stems from this and if I can lose the weight the health issues will get better. I am 29 now and will be 30 next May and I would love to be back at my normal weight by then. The weight that I have gained has caused me to have issues with my confidence as well the intimate relationship that I have with my husband. Which is already hard because of my periods being so sporatic. We will be celebrating our 4th anniversary in September and I would love to be able celebrate the loss of 20 lbs. Anyway, if anyone out there can relate to me and my issues and is looking for a buddy please send me a message.

I feel like I was reading my life story. I've always been a little heavy though. When I was 19, I was diagnosed with PCOS too... I have the same bloating and confidence issues, along with the cycle issues. I just started Slim fast last week and I'm hoping to ultimately lose 146 pounds. I'm 25 now, and I am tired of being overweight and tired of the irregular cycles etc. I hope that this plan helps us both. Good Luck! You can do it!

Can relate to you 100%.  Sounds just like me.  Finally had to have the problem removed.  Got to the point I was "on" 90 percent of the month.  They say a normal period will last 3 to 5 days?  That's how long I didn't have it.  I've been around for a while now.  Today is my 3 month anniversay on SF and the site.  Don't weigh in till Saturday morning, but have lost 29 lbs since starting.  If you would like an older buddie I always have room for one more.
