I have this thing where I have to get a white chocolate mocha at my favorite coffee stand...everyday! Here's how I order it...I get a 16 oz. white mocha with 3/4 of a scoop of powder (its a small scooper)with 2% milk. Is there a way I can still get my coffee and lose weight too? Because I love my coffees! And when I dont drink them, I get major headaches :(
A typical coffee as you have described can have anywhere from 10-20 g of fat in a 16 oz. beverage. So, it is best if you can find other alternatives. Most of the fat is coming from the chocolate mocha part of the drink, so you might try switching to a latte or cappuccino sweetened with a sugar-free syrup, such as sugar-free french vanilla flavoring or another sugar-free flavor that you would enjoy. The remainder of the fat is from the 2% milk, so try going to a skim milk. Most often you would order a "skinny" or fat-free latte/cappuccino with sugar-free flavoring to get the most out of your calories.
Enjoy!

Thankyou 4 the reply! I have a hard time switching my drink's flavor because I really only like white chocolate. What if I went to a 12oz. double shot with fat free milk? Is this still gonna put weight on me? Also, do you think that maybe my coffee addiction is part of the reason for my fast sudden weight gain. I jumped from 175 to 205 in 2 months :( Cuz I also always have a muffin with it too. or cookies. or both. Do you think if I quite this problem all together I would start shedding pounds?
Little habits like this that seem harmless can quickly pile on the calories and ultimately the pounds. It can be very dangerous, especially to drink the calories, since a beverage doesn't ever seem nearly as harmful as a piece of chocolate cake, but depending on what you are drinking, they can come very close. And once you have started, it is too easy to keep going with the drink and the little extras that go along with it.
So, switching to the smaller drink size is a good step and certainly changing over to skim milk is a good choice as well. This is going to be a considerable calorie savings and a much better choice. Then, you might try pairing your coffee with a Slim-Fast Snack Bar, a piece of fruit or a fat-free yogurt, instead of the muffin or cookie! I think you will notice a difference if you make these small changes!
