hi everyone,

I also am a new mom to twin girls, they are now 5 months old.  I lost the 1st 30lbs from my pregnancy, but still have 25lbs to go.  I want to be back in my prepregnancy cloths like yesterday.  I have always had fluctuations in my weight, but I have never had to loose this much before.  I am trying to get motivated to get on my treadmill, but with taking care of twins full time, I am too exhausted.  If anyone has any suggestions how to add exercise to an already busy and exhausting schedule please let me know!!!  I really want to get in some exercise besides walking with the stroller.

That is awesome! How did you lose 32.5 lbs in 4 weeks? I'm averaging a loss of 2-3 lbs/week. May I ask what your daily calories are? That's fantastic!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Hi Miacis,

I am also a mom of a 1  year old and since i've had the baby  my weight has not moved after the first 3 months. Everyone said breastfeeding would shed the weight, but I either stayed the same or gained a few pounds month to month, I was eating like crazy while I was breastfeeding.

I have to lose 25 pounds to be at the weight I feel great at, however 17 pounds more to prepreg weight!

I know you can do it, just stick it out...Slim Fast works for me. I just started to use it again, I used to use the slim fast plan before the pregnancy and it always gave me a kick start!

Good luck!

I too am a new mom, looking for support to lose my baby weight. My daughter is 3 months old so I figured it is now time to start. I only gained 21 lbs with her and lost it at delivery but have put back 10 lbs since I have been home. That doesn't count for the 100 lbs I have put on over the past 7 years (since I met my husband). I went down the wrong track when I met my husband and picked up his eating habits instead of sticking to mine. My goal it to lose at least 75 lbs but I am happy to start with 10 lbs and work my way down the scale. I have just started the Slim Fast program today.

I always find the first few days the hardest since that is when all of the hunger pains start. I am also a bad one for cravings. I love ice cream and with the spring/summer season I seem to want it even more. To top things off I am an emotional eater and have to learn to reign that in also. Since having my daughter is a whole new world for me I am trying to learn to make time to sit down and eat without neglecting her needs. I have not started back at work yet but when I do I will be working full time, taking care of our house and 5 cats, as well as my daughter and husband. I know my urge to grab whatever is convenient is going to hit. Am support that can be offered I am all for it. New mommies need all of the support they can get. I am looking forward to having this support team since all of my work out buddies have bailed on me in the past.

Hi Coleen,

My name is Monique. I've never done any kind of program like this before. It's all kind of new.

Just to let you know, I totally feel your pain. In fact I feel like we're in the exact same boat. I use to be an athlete weighing in around 130 on average. After I got pregnant and had my son I don't know what happened. I had an extremely difficult pregnancy and put on a ton of weight. I only lost about 25 lbs as well, and I can't seem to lose any more.

I won't get into it, but it's kind of nice to know that I'm not alone in this. Being a new mom is hard! My baby was a preemie- only 2 lbs when he was born. It's been an exhausting journey. I can't seem to ever find time for my self. My husband is in the military, so he really can't help me too much.

But, I guess you have to start some where. I really wish you the best of luck on your weight loss journey. Just hang in there, you can do it. If Kirstie Alley can do it, we can do it! Just kidding, that was a joke. I hope you found it funny.

Good Luck Again!

Monique

Hey! I'm new to slimfast and not very dedicated yet. I am 19 years old and I had my first child 6 months ago, a beautiful baby girl. I am a full time student and I work part time. I stay very busy and I have a huge appetite so I usually eat fast food and junk food. I would really like to loose at least 25 pounds, but it almost seems impossible! Any advice?

Hi new moms! Like you, I'm trying to get rid of this baby belly. Seriously, I thought I was like, the only person in the world whose baby weight didn't just fall off. With those celebrity new moms, you see them big and 9 months pregnant, then the next time you see them with their new baby, they're in bikinis! Like Tori Spelling, is that real? Because I have a two year old and a 9 month old, and I still have about 50 lbs to lose.

I've lost 10 pounds over the past few weeks, but I'm still weighing in at 180. It's not pretty y'all. I weighed about 135 before I got pregnant, and I could have lost a few pounds then. What I wouldn't give to be that weight now though!!

And it doesn't help that my sister-in-law has two kids and still wears a size 2. She doesn't even have any extra skin or anything. I asked her how she did it, and she just shrugged!! She didn't do ANYTHING! So I thought something was wrong with me, but after reading what everyone here wrote, I think maybe she's just lucky, but not normal......

Baby weight is so hard to get off.....  Has anyone here lost any, like, astronomical amount of weight? I need some motivation......

Does anyone have like a before-and-after shot of losing 50 pounds?

By the way, since we are talking about baby-stuff here too, does anyone have any tips on weaning a baby from breastfeeding?  My baby sleeps with me, and since she was right beside me, it was really easy to just lay in bed and feed her. In fact, it was a really big plus for months, when sleep was a rare commodity. Now, however, she just sort-of uses my boob for a pacifier. I could swear that she eats enough food to satisfy her, but she loves nursing so much, she still does it because she WANTS to. And since I'm right beside her in bed, she just fusses and won't go back to sleep unless I pull the boob out. What was my blessing is now my curse!   :)

I'm thinking maybe putting her in her own bed will do the trick, if I just let her cry it out the first few nights. But I love sleeping with her and don't really want to kick her out of my bed if it isn't necessary.  Anybody else have any ideas?

I just had my 3rd baby 6 weeks ago.  This will be my 3rd time using slim fast to get off the baby weight!  The first 2 babies I gained 70-80 lbs each and always managed to get down to my original weight.  Now I am at a point that I can do this again so I have about 30-40 lbs I would like to lose.  Just stick to it and the results will be great!  Im going to Hawaii in a month and would really like to be able to hit the beach!  GOOD LUCK!
