WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH YOUR 1 800 SLIMFAST NUMBER ? IT DOES NOT WORK. IT SAYS IT IS NOT A WORKING NUMBER. I WANTED TO ASK WHY SLIMFAST DOES NOT MAKE THE PRODUCTS WITH SPLENDA? THEN YOU WOULD NOT HAVE SO MUCH SUGAR IN THEM. YOU NEED TO AT LEAST PUT SPLENDA IN THE POWER SHAKE MIX.

Our Slim-Fast number is working - I'm not sure why you received that message earlier. We are here Monday through Friday, 9AM-5:30PM EST, but you can still leave a message after hours. Again, the number is 1-800-SLIMFAST (754-6327). Please let me know if you still have trouble.
As for the sugar -
Many of our products do contain Splenda, but it is listed in the ingredient list as Sucralose, which is the generic name for Splenda. Please keep in mind that the sugars listed on the nutrition facts panel include natural and added sugars. For instance, a can of Optima contains 17-18 grams of sugar. Since it is a milk-based product, 11 of those grams are lactose, or natural milk sugar (the same that you would find in a glass of milk). The other 6-7 grams are added sugar, which is about a teaspoon and a quarter. Using a combination of sweeteners enables us to deliver the same great taste as original Slim·Fast products, but with up to 50% less sugar.
Our Slim-Fast Powders do not contain Splenda, but they do contain the non-nutritive sweeteners aspartame and acesulfame potassium. In addition, they contain the nutritive sweeteners lactose and sucrose (table sugar).
