This is truly the last time I am logging into Slimfast.com. I have been soooo sick and tired of waiting for their maintenance crap to be done, that I have now found a NEW website to track calories. The site is www.sparkpeople.com. I don't know where this website has been hiding, but it is truly an AMAZING find. It has everything you ever need to succeed!! Here you will find:
Weight trackers, meal plans, calorie trackers, recipes, support, goals, teams, daily and monthly challenges and a "myspace like" support community where you can post up to 50 pics of yourself, and have friends keep you on track!
The support here is tremendous!!!! You WILL reach your goal by just participating in this. I actually find myself excited to log in each day and see the encouragement my weight loss buddies have written to me and encourage them just the same. You will never need another weight loss site again. It's almost too good to be true that it is free!!!!!! but it is!!!!!!!!!! I just joined a team that is having a "biggest loser" type challenge for the month of september. I'm on the red Hot Rockets team!!! Wish me luck!!! This site has made me excited and motivated about weight loss again and you'll love it!!! It's free, what have you got to lose!!! TRY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Signing off slimfast.com FOREVER..... bye bye. (See you all at sparkpeople.com)

Hi Lindsay,
I'm happy for you that you found SP. I too am there and yes it really is a cool place. Look me up at I_Am_Worthy.
With that said, call me stupid but I am truly loyal to SF.com. It was HERE that I found myself at the crossroads and it was HERE that I found what I needed to get where I am today. I have joined a SF team at Spark but it isn't the same as here. Even with all the problems currently happening here at SF.com, there is a special bond here and I just can't seem to say goodbye forever. I ALMOST did. And once I found I could sign back on again, here I am. I don't think I will ever completely give up SF.com.
There were people here for me when I needed them and I want to be there for the next newcomer. I believe in the SF program, the product, etc. It works. It's a shame the buddy system isn't up and running but we have the message boards until then. I believe SF will fix this, in time. This product and company has been around too long....I have faith they will get there.
Until then, for any of you here and just starting out, this program really works. Don't hesitate to ask the Registered Nutritionist questions or anyone else here to help you with finding your balance. I wish each of you the best. I really didn't know if I could ever get out of the XXX's but with Slim Fast, I did. It feels GrEaT to be a Medium!
Michelle (WA)
Good morning Michelle,
I agree that slim fast does work. Prior to having children I wanted to loose my college weight gain and was very successful with slim fast. Now that I am in my late 30's and have two children and a very hectic schedule I often wonder if anything will help me.........
Over the past year alone I have gained 25 pounds. I feel stressed all of the time, I had fibroid surgery twice last year, and recently went through the process of invitro fertilization, with no success. But I am determined to get back to my old self.
I used to run, which I am too large to do right now, but hope to someday be able to do again. My goal is to loose 50 pounds. If I can achieve that goal I feel that I can concur anything.
Thank you for not giving up on Slim Fast and making a commitment to stick around to help others like me.
Carmelita
Hi Carmelita,
I hear you. I too had wondered often if anything could ever help me... what struck me here at SF.com was the testimonies of those before us that stuck with their program for what seemed to be long periods of time....I thought, hmmmmm, how do they do that? Well, once I got plugged in here and got some buddies, using the SF plan and moving my body more, the days just kept passing on by and the lbs kept coming off! It really works!
Please keep on keeping on. You CAN do this.... one day at a time.
Another thing you shared touched my heart. In Vitro. I too had tried IVF back in early 2001 with no success. Talk about invasive procedures that are also emotional rollercoaster rides! Yikes. Before I tried my FINAL IVF, I found a doctor who did tubal reversal's and THAT worked! Hence, I now have two younger children (ages 3.5 and 5). Praise God! =)
Anyhow, walking is truly under rated.... it works.... I know what you mean about running at a heavier weight....I couldn't even do those darn exercise videos in my house without shaking up my hutch cabinet! Don't give up, pedometers are fantastic to help with motivation to try and beat the previous days steps!
Keep in touch and let me know how you are doing!
Your SF friend, Michelle =)
Yes the invitro was very invasive, and the biggest rollercoaster of my life!!! Prior to trying the invitro I wanted to have my tubes reversed, but because of the old fashioned method the doctor used in tying my tubes, it was impossible. So now that I had my last try of invitro August 1, 2008 (still fresh), I am praising God for the two wonderful son's that I have, and I believe that God has something else planned for me. Congratulations on your two younger babies, they are such a joy!!
It's funny how you mentioned the hutch cabinet shaking LOL!!! I feel the same way, it seems as if I'm causing an earthquake LOL!!!
Thanks for your words of encouragement, and I'm determined to shake this weight off once and for all. Have a great day!
Okay so seriously i am not the only one, i thought maybe it was just me, one day i get on the computer to log in and i can no longer get into my slim fast plan, thought maybe it was just that day, then i thought maybe just for a couple of weeks, then months went by, then my weight came back, i had lost over 20 pounds and was really kicking some butt, then they had to go and do maintence work. One day i tried loging in and got so mad i sent them an email, they then replied with a link for me to go to and long and be hold it was the new slim fast web site, but let me tell you only the meal plan is what works, i try to log my weight in every week, you can't because they are still doing maintence. I want to thank you for posting this web site up i am definetly going to try sparkpeople.com, hopefully i will be succesful.
I have to use supplemental websites, because SF has such a limited food database. It also has some of the most generic tools available. I think SF is great, but as a online program it is very green and may lose many customers due to increasing competition. I am too new to SF to quit, but I will look into sparklepeople.com as another supplemental website and agent in my weight loss program.
Thanks Lindsay for the info,
Good luck to all no matter what tools help you lose weight.
Do you think there's a chance that SF staff actually read the feedback posted and perhaps are considering adding some new food options to their plan? My Hub and I are both very happy about the product and the plan for the most part; we've each lost about 15 lb in 3-4 months but we are so bored with the meal plans.
Hi Michelle. I just wanted to tell you how wonderful you look! This is the first time I've seen your pictures and you should be very proud of your accomplishments. Are you on maintenance, yet? You've given very good advice on this forum. WE have to make it work for us. Slim Fast is our guide and I have to say their support has been wonderful for me. Best wishes to everyone here. Listen to us, we know this program works, we're living proof! I went from a 16/18 to a size 4 since mid-Jan and look at Michelle's results!!! AND it wasn't hard!... PAnn
I ahve been using slimfast for over 20 years! When they first launched the webiste i was with them and have been with them ever since.
Sure its not for everyone, and yes they still have some IT problems. I am not sure who is designing their website but it does have flaws in loading. Something they should be made aware of and let the comaony know that people are getting frustrated.
But aside from that, its a great place for help. I know when we discovered I had a a swallowing problem and needed to use slimfast not as a weight loss product but as a complete nutrition product the nutritionists and developers were so helpful.
So, liek everything else, you find your own way and seek those who are compatible. I will stay with them, probably for the rest fo my life.
Wow! Thanks for the tip! I just signed up to SP and it looks even more helpful than the Slim Fast site (without the "month" wait for their IT to get it together.)
Thanks again!
I have been MIA here for months, been on SP. I like it there, but made some friends here(still in touch with I_am_worthy), but lost touch with many...missing that everyone here is SF worthy!!! I hope to get back in touch with lost friends and make some new ones. Really need the support while using SF and get back to my weight loss. I have been holding steady for months at one weight.
what is your name on sp kkidsmom?
i have been there for sometime now...then decided to come look at this site when a friend told me about some new things SF had like the cappucino shake yum.
THANKS LINDSAY!!!
I was initially so excited to find the tools on SF, but I constantly had problems logging on, and the "help" they gave me on the technical side was not helpful at all. I use many websites that require logging in, but I never had so many technical issues as with SF. I wish them well, but right now, the sad fact for me is I need the tools, and they are unavailable. I'm through waiting on them.
To me this is not a question of loyalty on the consumer's part, but a question of prioritzing customers on the company's part. Asking for simple and reliable web tools is not asking too much, in my opinion.
Motivation for weight loss requires timing. My time is now. I'm thrilled to find sparkpeople. I couldn't believe it when I looked into it. How can that be free??? It is an amazing tool. I even love the short workout videos. Thank you SOOOO much for the information!!!
I am also tired of waiting for the updates. They said August......Its almost Christmas time.
Thats not good support....I am with you Lindsay!
