Hi everyone. Well I decided to start today. It's been a long time coming. I always have good intentions, but never seem to make it past the week 1. I hope this time it will be different. Looking forward to chatting with everyone
I know exactly how you mean...I have been doing that! I lost 60 pounds about 4 years ago and just this past year I have gained 20 pounds, and just can't seem to get back in that mode I once had, I've started now 3 days ago and I think I might be back now!!!! I am walking 3 miles a day, I have been doing that for a couple of months now and I started also running on my treadmill 2-3 miles in the evening too. Back when I lost all my weight I got to where I was running 6 miles three times a week I loved it!!!! I want to get back!!!! You hang in there girl!! I put a pair of my smaller capri pants out in my room so everytime I walk in there I see them! I have a closet full of clothes I can't wear!! I will get back into them!! Stick with it-- after you see the results in a week or two it will be easier!! When you get hungry and you've had your snack drink some water and go for a walk or vacuum or something or remind yourself of how you will feel and look. The taste of that sweet or food only lasts a few minutes...your health you need a lot longer.. Talk later!!

What great advice! You sound very motivated, Malbert!! How did you lose the 60 pounds previously? Slim Fast?
Keep going at it Newbee. Every day is a new adventure, so don't beat yourself up if you had a bad one the day before. Get up and say "Today is my day." You'll make it past a week...just keep trying!

At the beginning I did start with slim fast and exercise, I got on the elliptical trainer 45 minutes a day. Eventually I just started eating meals again andate right and continued losing. I kept it off. This past year I just got careless and started eating junk again!! You will always have days where you eat the wrong thing, like yesterday, I ate chocolate covered raisins(my weakness) but today I will exercise double to maybe make up for it! You can't go your whole life not eating that stuff, but you can do it in proportion. Some days are harder than others, and my husband loves sweets!! Keep it up, you will succeed!! You can lose on slim fast without exercise, but faster with exercise. And you will build muscle and be tone and feel alot better, I can tell if I don't exercise I feel lazy. Sunday afternoon I was on the couch, just hanging out, and I told myself,"you know you will be here all evening if you don't get up now" So I got up and ran 2 miles on the treadmill, I felt alot better. It is hard to get up but when you do, it is worth it and you do feel better! Don't give up!!
Welcome! I just signed up/ started today today too! I feel like I have tried every diet out there. I had a lot of success with slim-fast when I followed it in highschool, but somehow lost all my discipline, and find it sometimes impossible to follow. Needless to say I have gained all the weight back and much more! :( Im hoping by talking to others going through it with me I will do much better and stay determined! I just started yesterday. I have struggled with my weight before. i was doing good, then i had my daughter and no matter what I can not get the weight off. I am hoping to lose 55 pounds and keep it off. Does any one else cook your meals fo their familes? I am cooking my meals for my family, hopefully they wll enjoy it. Good luck everyone.
Hi everyone, just read everyones post and I have to say you all have determination in losing the weight. I have been back on slimfast for 5 weeks now and I haven't seen any weight lost yet! (but I will) some days are better than others (like today it wasn't so good).

Hello, I know you can do it !!!!because just like you I am the same way and I started on Monday and I really feel good about this one I have even started walking and believe it or not i jogged today so keep it and remember we can do all things in CHRIST!!!!!!
