1st short goal completed on 7/31/2008 !!

2nd short goal completed on 8/24/2008 !!

On 10/10/2008: 178.6 pounds; 3.4 pounds less this week !!

3th short goal is completed !!!!!!!

Hi guys, I started on my birthday 9/18 and weighed 167.

Today I weighed myself (10/9) and I was 155. a 12lb weight loss!!!!!!1

 

Short term goal 1: weigh 140; Short term goal 2: weigh 130; Semi-short term goal 3: run a marathon (end of 2009); Long-term goal: maintain a strong, flexible, and healthy body and keep under 140lb.

 

well.. I am getting there.

 

CONGRADS Miguel!!!! that's wonderful!  I liked your short term goals of 10lbs at a time, so I am copying it! hope you don't mind :)

Hi everyone....I have sat here for a large part of the day...and read this thread from beginning to end.  Wow!  Alot of you are soooo inspiring.

Michelle...you make me think it's possible!!!!

So...today is my start day.  October 10th.......And I weighed in at 187.5  Went to the doctor recently and my bp was slightly elevated.  I'm only 31, mother to 4 kids....and I am determined to lose.  I have to go to work soon....so I will post more tomorrow.  I hope to hear from everyone!

I set my short term goal to be 10 pounds a month. So by x-mas i should have a total weigh loss of 30 pounds.I planned to weigh myself every month... Until I became a member on Slim fast. Now im doing it weekly...

 

My plan was to lose 10 pounds by oct 23. But by october 8th  I'd already lost those 10 pounds... which got me highly motivated to try to lose some more by the 23rd...

just checking in to let everyone know I'm still around.  I work alot...so, just wanted to let you all know that I am on board.  Doing well.

 Congratulations to all of you who have lost weight. It really inspires me. I will also set my goal at 10 pounds per month.

My initial weight on 10/10/08 was 296. So on 11/10 should be 286. 12/10 should be 276. 01/10- 266. I have a lot to lose so the 10 pounds a month helps it seem easier to achieve.

 This is my first day but already am encouraged by everybodys weight loss and the short term goals!!   I will keep in mind the 10 pounds month by month!  I am 5'7" at 266 pounds.  I have been trying all the other diet things and even got just under the 250 mark on scales before my daughters wedding (June 28th), but that didn't stay off long.  I absolutely love the chocolate chip cookie repacement meal bar (who wouldn't want chocolate chip cookie for lunch?!) which is making this first day so much easier.

 Welcome Lovelytori, cjbribri2, loverrns!!!

Keeping a realistic goal makes it a lot more easier to achieve than reminding ourselves "i need to lose 100 +/- pounds"...  I started the program one week ago, and I've lost 2 pounds already!! (before joining the program online, i lost 8lbs in 3 weeks, and that made it a total loss of 10lbs in 4 weeks.)

One thing i'd recomend all of you is to stay in touch. Specially those days or weeks where you feel you've cheated or didn't do as good as you should have because that's what we are here for! to motivate each other, to share our struggles, our goals, and even share some dieting/exercise tips!

We can do it, and we will do it!!!

Hi everyone...I think my weight is down alot.  I kinda weighed and even though I started on Friday....it's going down....like 4 lbs already.  But I have been working alot.  I work at the Olive Garden and man....it's hard to work there and do SF...but I'm doing it.  I do alot of walking though....would you consider that exercise??

 Hi everyone!... Yesterday was my weigh in day and unfortunately i have no good news to share. I didn't lose an ounce this past week. BUT! I maintained my weight... which is not bad.

My current weigh is 162. I've lost 10 pounds. but i just discover that my scale is down 2 pounds. while i thought i was 160, i was actually 162 which got me a little sad because im really dying to be on the 150's hahaha.
