I want to start a weekly weigh in, starting TODAY, what better time to start? I started this journey 3 years ago but the past is past, today is what is in front of me!

I will post my weekly weigh in each Thursday morning. I am doing this for accountability and hopefully more of you will join me. For me, I love to hear from others about their successes, it encourages me and for others struggles so I can support them to keep on keeping on. I just read a Mentality blurb this morning from an expert and the thing that stood out to me was TO NOT TO THINK BLACK AND WHITE. We can't do all good or all bad. In real life, we will have slip ups. If we mess up at work or with our children, does that mean we just give up and quit our job or our walk away from our children? NO! (Though I have to say, I have had a few days where I cried out "Calgon, take me away....!" LOL

The other blurb I read was about the word TRY. Do we TRY to pick up a pencil? Of course not, we either pick it up or we don't. I am going to apply this attitude towards making time for exercise. I will not TRY to make time, I will. If I don't exercise it will be because I chose not to, not because I tried and failed!

Ok, so the number today is:

1/3/08 I weighed in at 208. I've logged a 3lb loss so far this week! Slim, here I come!

Blessings to each of you.......Michelle from WA

Hi Michelle!

I am interested in a weigh in with you!  I didn't see your post until Thursday nite, so I will log my weigh in next week (I only weigh in the morning, but didn't today!)

I will gladly join in your weekly weigh-in for accountability. I would benefit from this greatly myself! Believe it or not I read the exact same thing today and was also encouraged by it! I started one week and one day ago and it has been hard so far, it seems there is temptation everywhere and I really want some french fries! The good news is so far I haven't given in.

So here it goes today 1/3/08 I weighed in at 213! That is down 6.1 pounds so far! Yea!!!!!!! I am just trying to remember that this feeling is better than the feeling of french fries!

Best Wishes to everyone!

Hello

I have had many successes with my weight.
I started out October 11, 2000 weighing 190 pounds.
Yes, I was fat, happy I thought, but fat.

Today I am 153 and am floundering in a pond of my own making.
Fats, sugar, white foods and chocolate.

I want to live by my motto: Health is my goal; weight loss is my gift.
So, I have decided to try Slim-Fast.  It is not a stranger to me.
I am revisiting my friend and taking the challenge.
I am alone, but not.

I'm with you on the weekly weigh-in Michelle.  The peer-pressure always worked for me in Diet Workshop and it's something lacking when dieting on your own. Great idea. I just sincerely started my diet. This is my second day. My starting weight from yesterday is 260 pounds @ 6'. Is Thursday going to be the weigh-in day? Good luck to everyone.

Congratulations!  I can just feel your excitement and see a wonderful smile.  I am working toward maintaining my current weight but have found it has been going up some with running.  Today I am 6 pound over the slim-fast goal weight at 127.
