 mookiechicken,

What you eat during the day is dependent on your current weight and your food preferences.

Before I get into the basic plan, I definitely want to review the difference between our Meal and Snack Bars.  A Slim-Fast Meal Bar is approximately 220 calories, and provides 1/3 of your essential vitamins and minerals.  It is meant to be used to replace a meal.  On the packaging for these bars, it will clearly have Meal on-the-go Bar written in a blue box or banner.  Our snack bars contain between 100-140 calories, and these are meant to provide a healthier alternative to other snacks and chocolate bars.  These bars will have the word Snack clearly written in either a green box or on a white banner on the front of the box.  Snack bars can be used as "Snacks" on the Slim-Fast Plan.

On the basic Slim-Fast Plan, you replace breakfast with a Slim-Fast Shake or Meal Bar, combine a Slim-Fast Shake or Meal Bar with 200 calories at lunch (i.e. half a turkey sandwich), and dine on a Sensible Meal (approximately 500 calories) at dinner.  In addition, based on your current weight, you will be allotted a certain number of fruit/vegetable servings and Snacks (about 120 calories).

To determine your personalized plan, I simply need to know your current height and weight.  If you feel more comfortable, you can call us at 1-800-SLIMFAST (754-6327).  We are here Monday through Friday, 9AM-5:30PM EST.  We would also be happy to send you out additional information and a weeks worth of personalized menus.

Thanks for your question!

Sincerely,
