Okay I know this is going to sound really ridiculous and a lot of ya'll are going to laugh but...
I am trying to stay on track but my weakness is sweets. To curb those cravings I have been eating motts applesauce and jello. Today though I ate about 10 jelly beans....
and I just feel really bad :(\

LoL! I do the same thing. But I usually (try) eat fruit, I did it last night. It kills me to not get to have sweets (chocolate). I might try and do the jello thing to =]. Keep up the good work, at least you stuck to 10 jelly beans and not the whole bag. Good luck!

I try to eat fruit too but sometimes, I let my cravings get the best of me! I am getting stronger though...with every passing day! :) Thank you again and the BEST of luck to you too! I'm a sugar hound so I now I always keep sweets and treats for my family and they don't help much I say no and they give me Ice bar any way and when they fall asleep I will finish off the 3 thats left in the 6 pack. So yes I know where your at. Its that first one I tryed sugar free ready made jello and s/f cool whip that's great but can't just have one either ! its like the old commercial for lays potatoe chips. Your younger and beautiful so lets get a life Girl we deserve It!!!!
I will definatley try the "sundae" thing. I have a very bad sweet tooth that come on after eat a meal. I dont feel like I know what to do....So thanks for the tip.
I hope each and every one of you knows just how amazing you are!! We are all strong and in this TOGETHER!! Sweets may look good but they are just like those notorious bad boys that every girl wants - looking delicious and yummy on the outside but soooo bad for you in the long run!! Lol! I don't know if this will help you guys but it has helped me out on some occassions. It is going to sound silly but sometimes, when I want an ice cream or a cookie, I squint my eyes and picture it as a ball of fat. And then I picture myself swallowing that ball of fat and it going straight to my thighs (which is where it looooves to go!) and the swallowing part stops me 80% of the time! Regardless, you guys are all doing great and keep it up! We are here for each other!
I don't know how bad your craving is, I don't usually have a sweet tooth but I noticed you said it's after a meal. Someone told me to brush my teeth right after I eat and it WORKED! Give it a try!
That is a good idea since I SHOULD be brushing my teeth after eating. ;.) So thank you for the tip. It will help. Any suggestion for dieting at work? I have alot of female co-workers who are always making comments on what I eat. Be it good or bad. I just some how feel like I should hide the fact that I am eating a slim-fast bar. I know, kinda dumb, but it really influences the way I eat at work.
Gosh, jelly beans sound so good right now! You are wonderful! 10 jelly beans is totally reasonable, and having ten a day could be your treat. You shouldn't deprive yourself too much, because then you won't be able to stick with your plan. Remember you are making life choses that you can live with. And really, jelly beans are one of the lower in fat candy choses! Look at the serving size of your sweet you enjoy and make it last through the day..maybe into the next day. just remember to less of it than you normally would. It works for me. Can anyone tell me how much fruit is to much fruit? Is there such a thing as to much fruit?

Keep on eating your applesauce and jello - even the occasional jelly bean if you want to KEEP that weight off! Thing is, those are NOT diet decisions that will ruin your efforts for a lean and new you.
If you were eating Snickers and icecream, now that would be an issue.
I think its great youve found ways to curb your sweet tooth from driving you into the DARKSIDE. Its the people who go Nazi and refuse ANY form of food besides broccoli or learn how to enjoy food in moderation that end up cracking and gain back 30 pounds out of frustration for food they enjoy and just break down over 3 tubs of icecream after a tripple stack cheeseburger, 2 large pizzas, a bucket of fried chicken and cake!!!!
Know what else is great; Gummy Bears! No seriously, my husband brought home a bag and it was only 130 calories per serving but a serving was 25 of them!!!! Chocolate raisins , 140 calories but a serving size of 15. So these are treats you can eat 5 of to enjoy the flavor and walk away feeling satisfied but not fat ( unless you eat an entire tub of them, lol )
I also make an applesauce dish from scratch; boil some apples and carrots in cinnimon then use a pototatoe masher to smash, add a little suger and some crushed nuts ands Voila! My kids LOVE it.
Oh and my BH&G mag had a fantastic recipe; take a bannana and dip it in yogurt then roll in low calorie crushed nuts and freeze!
Dont totally deprive yourself, as one person posted this is about more than instant weight loss ; it is a lifestyle change. It may take longer to lose the weight but the weight will STAY away. When I was young Id deprive myself of everything and sure Id lose 20 pounds in 2 weeks - but if it worked I wouldnt be here right now. Now Ive lost only 16 pounds over 5 or 6 weeks but I feel healthier and I think I wont be where I was again.
Dont beat yourself up. And lets share and pass the jellybeans this way, please :)

Well, congratulations on the hard work you're doing. Making the decision is the first step to moving forward to a healthier lifestyle. I just discovered a program airing on TLC on Sunday nights called "I can make you thin". The host uses hypnotic devices to get people to stop craving certain foods. His methods can be found on the TLC website. I missed the first two episodes, and I think there are only 4 or 5 left, but the website summarizes the programs. Again, good luck to you, you're doing a great thing for yourself.
u are not a lone.. my weekness is choclate.. and since i knwo this i wil lnot deprive myself.. what i do is buy the lil mini's i take one or two to work.. so that way that all I can have.. I dont want to live a life of fruits and veggies and shake 100% of the time.. like the other poster said ..that leads to u falling off... so enjoy ur 10 jelly beans
