I am trying to do about 1200 calories a day. I forgot that they changed the caloric intake not too long ago! You are right, its 2,000/2,500.

I love to eat anything really. Love all sorts of vegetables and exotic foods. The hubby only likes plain food. Loves pizza, hamburgers and hot dogs with only ketchup, spaghetti/ravioli, and chicken. He's very selective about how his food is prepared. He has a very boring palette. That plays a big part in my weight gain as its just easier to eat what he eats and not make a big fuss about my meals.

Maybe not even just dance, just a fun workout video. I have 4 and can't seem to stay interested in any of them. Turbo Jam seems to be the one that is the most effective, but I get bored with it. I have the Dancing with the Stars Cardio Party video and just tried it today and it's basically worthless. I hardly even broke a sweat, and left feeling like I hadn't done anything. I have a pilates tape also but that doesn't really help with cardio/weight loss. I have a treadmill but I get so bored with it that it makes the workout so much harder and seem like it takes ages to finish. If anybody knows of any really good and fun workout videos, please let me know!!

Hey all, I was hoping to find someone to hang with while "working out". I am 28 y/o and going through a lot right now. Long story short; I had my first pergnancy just recently and miscarried when I was 11 weeks and 3 days (11/10/08).

I thought that starting a new way of life would help with the greving as I am over 300 miles from my family and my friend. Also, my fiance is really not that good in support when it comes to eating right and exercise.

So how about it? Drop me a line at eles3d@hotmail.com I will be waiting...

Then a friend introduced me to Muay Thai Kickboxing, where you use not just your hands and feet, but your elbows, knees, shins; almost every part of your arms and legs for striking. Using this method on a heavy bag (a standing bag works much better unless you have a very brave friend to hold the hanging bag for you ;) for 30 minutes a day is one killer workout. I've been using it for almost 3 months and it not only gets and keeps my heart rate up, but is much more interesting and entertaining than walking is for me. You can start slow, low-impact, and work your way up if you are not able to go at it from the beginning (as I could not at first). Make SURE that you get a good pair of bag gloves to protect your hands, and you might want to wrap your wrists and elbows (knees and ankles), anywhere there is a joint at least until you get a little more comfortable.

Hope this helps some of you out there as it has me. Oh, did I mention how much of a 'stress reducer' it is as well? ;) Well? It is! Good luck, and be safe!

I am using Podintervals First Day to 5k right now and it's really fun!

The idea is that you move each step to the beat of the music. The music goes in intervals so, you walk some of it (fast walking) and then run some and then walk some of it... etc. for 2.03 miles which is timed out to be something like 30 minutes (includes intro) the first week. I really really enjoy this and I just wanted to share the love! :)

---

I made a new years resolution to run a marathon in 2009. So DARN SKIPPY Imma do it! I've used runnersworld website on like how to get in shape for a marathon, but it just never kept me motivated--at all. And I didn't feel like my fitness was really improving. I can run 6 miles, and I used to do it pretty consistently... but then I used the week 1 of Gateway to 8k podinterval training and I was so worn ou I couldn't finisht! I had to start down on the 4th week of the First day to 5k to find a balance of my fitness level!
