Today was my first day. I am really hugry. This plan only allows about a 1000 calories a day. I don't know if i can stick to it for two weeks.
I didn't know that Slim Fast had a meal plan that only has 1000 calories. I started two weeks ago and I have lost 5 pounds. I'm amazed!! But I'm following the diet as close as I can, and definately on those days that are NOT crazy, no excuses. I save my mistakes for those crazy days that we all have. I figure after a while I will be better at planning for those crazy days. One piece of advice, make sure you eat everything that is listed in your daily meal plan. If you don't you are going to get too hungry and it will inevitably lead to eating the wrong foods. As far as my hunger pains.... I tend to get hungry about an hour before it's time to eat. At that time I try to get busy, it helps to forget, for a while, and thats all you need. Don't forget your snacks!!
This is the hardest time of the year with Christmas and new years congratulations you must not have so much to loose with being at 1000 calories this is my first day too but I am at 1900 I was taught to load up on veggies like cucumbers and vinegar or things that dont have any calories it's hard at night time when your in front of the TV jello is a big thing that helps stuff low in calories so basically you get more for your money.
I was trying to follow the diet on the slimfast homepage called the "my first six pounds". I thought this forum was for this diet. This eating plan only has about 1000 calories. I don't think i can follow it.
Never look at it as a diet , Diets are just a quick fix and you don't really want that because the faster you loose it the more of a chance you have of gaining it right back . think of it as a way of life your just fixing . Hang in there you can do it I know a lady that was almost three hundred pounds and was on a 1000 calorie diet. She sliped up like we all do but everyday was a new day and a time to start new.
You can still follow the diet on the homepage but if you really in a bind where you have to have something you can ask the dietician but I really don't think it's going to hurt you to have something that has 0 cal in it .Don't deprive your self anything is good for you in moderation. If you do deprive yourself your going to eat more than enough when you just cann't handle it anymore.

The My First Six Plan has about 1200 calories per day. We don't recommend that anyone consume less than 1200 calories per day. If you find that you are hungry while following the My First Six Plan, you may want to just switch to the Optima plan (you would switch to the Optima plan after 2 weeks on My First Six anyway) recommended for your weight.
