Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Ross I am 23 years old and have a 128lb weight loss goal. WooHoo! I am 6'1" and currently weigh 302lbs down from 310 starting!
I've been in the same boat as most everyone with trying different diets that were great to lose 10-20lbs, but then quickly helped me gain 20-30 back.
My biggest distraction is that when I tell people how much I actually weigh they get this baffled look and say "I would have guessed you were [way to light]" it would always give me this little false sense of confidence, but then I would get home and look in the mirror and go "what are they talking about?" Making me a bit more depressed and less likely to go work out because I felt like they were just being nice.
I am really excited to start on this, and I think this whole online community that Slim-Fast has going on is awesome.
I look forward to talking to anyone and would love to hear any tips+tricks that kept you motivated when things were tough. Or if anyone just wants to trade stories... or vent
...hmmm that sounded a bit bubbly...until next time!
Well congrats Ross, for taking the big step! I have the same problem with people thinking I weigh less than I do. But, instead of it giving me a false confidence, it just made me feel more depressed.
This community has kept me motivated...I post daily, and love it!
If you need a support buddy, I love to give people support!
