Hey ladies!  We'll come up with a name to make our thread easier to find!  If you didn't catch my first thread...this thread is for those who are looking to loose 50+ lbs.  It's not too late to jump in!  I'm going to invoke the weight & measurement log.  No, I don't like listing all that stuff either, but you'll eventually see more results in measurements than in weight.  So, don't get frustrated...or embarrassed... no one is judging here.  We are here to support!  Feel free to list tips or tricks that helped you make it through the week!

Kelley's Week 1

Start weight: 192

Today's weight: 185.6

Measurements:

Neck:  13.7in

Bicep:  12.7in

Forearm:  10.5in

Chest: 49in

Waist:  44.7in

Hips: 49.5in

Thigh: 25.7in

Calf:   16.2in

Total Loss:     6.4 lbs and ? in   (I didn't measure until yesterday!  Didn't have one of those measurement tapes!!!)

***Don't leave meals on the go to chance!  I found when I'm not able to stay home that if I pack the planned snacks/meals in an insilated lunch tote keeps me out of trouble!  It also sends the message to my family and friends that I'm serious about what I'm doing.  They, in turn, don't sit and continue to offer me cake and stuff over and over!

Almost forgot!  Starting next Saturday, our thread will move to the Staying Motivated Forum!    Feel free to post "name ideas".  I'm not that creative...and we need a group name!!

Thanks ~K

I totally understand about scale addiction!  It is what knocked me off the diet wagon in January!!  Don't get caught up in that trap! We are women and there are going to be those days when we retain water by no fault of our own.  Seeing those extra pounds pop up (though it be temporary) on the scale can be a huge source of frustration!

Try what I do.  I place my scale up in my closet where it is out of site.  This way I am not tempted each time I walk by it & my 18 month old can't destroy it like she did the last one!  Make weighing and measure once a week a goal to help keep your addiction at bay.

Hope that helps!  Have a great holiday!  (But pack your lunch!  LOL!)

Well I was so excited about how things were going. I was waiting a week to weigh. and my total weight lose since starting had been last week 3 1/2 lbs. I got on the scale this morning and was so discaraged. so I waited and weighed again later in the day. there was a pound difference which helps. but it shows that I gained this week so my total is now only 2 lbs. I just don't get this why did I gain. frusrated but I'm not giving up. sorry but I'm not going to measure. my stuff is all in storage and don't have a clue were to find my measure tape.

I weigh wkly at the end of the week and I measure at the end of the month by the work out club I go to daily and get a readout from them   will post the results  when  I get them next week   because it is a nationaly known club I don't think I can mention its name.  I did start out last week on this program at 218  and have lost to 214   I work out daily mon-fri   for 30 minutes  and it is very effecticve.  The one thing I have found out is that if you weigh after exercising you will usually show that you have gained not lost this has something to do with muscle building and shifting.     The most accurate time to weigh is in the morning after going to the bathroom and before eating.  I don't get hung up on daily weights because it can cause a lot of discouragement  with yoyoing daily.  stick to weekly weigh ins.  Since I am on the go daily in a car with my work  taking the planned shakes and snacks work very well for me since I can eat out of my lunch toat and drive at the same time

Hi, I'm at week 2 1/2  but at 2 2weeks my total loss was 4lbs. but I'm already "too small" for my new pants which I'll have to take in to be altered!!  It kinda sucks that my new pants are too big but at the same time it's awesome!!  Keep it up gals!!

Hi Kelley and everyone out there.  Do you have room for one more member???  I am 31 and weigh in at 193 or so.  I also have 3 kids, ages 9, 6, and 3.  I also work part time.  I love the idea of coming up with a name as I have tried this buddy thing on here before and could never find the group after the first time.  Obviously based on my weight, I want to lose at least 50 lbs.  I'll officially begin this program tomorrow as I need to go buy shakes, bars, etc.

let me know if there is room for one more and let's get losing!!!

Sorry....I just had a whole bunch of stuff written to everyone...hit send and then the stupid internet had disconnected.  It's been that way here the last few days which is why I haven't been on much.

Pleas note that the next weigh in and discussion threads will be posted in the "STAYING MOTIVATED" forum!  I'll come up with a name and post it in this thread so you'll all know what to look for!

Good luck and stick to it!
