 two weeks in and i really didnt lose any weight...if fact im afraid when i do my weekly weigh in tommarrow morning i prob gained weight....im eating healthier for sure but my portions are WAY to big!....so basically i have been eating like every two hours but ALOT and then i really go to town at dinner time and then after dinner i am STILL hungry....basically all i think about all day and all night long is FOOD.....and what is really bad is when i eat a larger portion then my husband :-(...which is what happened tonight!.....this has actually been my life for for years now and im really sick of it!...but hey tommarrow is another day and another chance!!!!!!....i just got to tell myself to stop thinking about food all the time!

 Don't beat yourself up!!  I have a terrible time thinking of food all the time . . . I don't feel "hungry" I just HAVE TO have something.  2 out of the 4 days I've been doing this, I haven't struggled with thinking about food so much and the other 2 days I was dying from my cravings.  If you can get your mind on something else, the shakes seem to really stave off the hunger & craviings.  I used to chew gum (10 years ago when I needed to lose weight) to keep from eating it worked pretty good so maybe I'll try that again when my cravings hit.  I'm not having portion issues yet but I'm only 4 days in.  Sometimes I do try to figure out what I think I would like to eat and then just serve myself half of that.

 hi kim :-)...i did pretty good today!...i just ate dinner and did pretty well so far!.....i still feel hungry tho and i guess its just a "bad" habit because i definily ate enough to not feel hungry!...or at least not right after eating dinner any way but i really could just eat all kinds of other stuff right now ya know...so YEA, i really just need to set my mind on other things rather then eating....i weighed myself this morning and i actually only gained "4 ounces" lol...so that is not as bad as i thought it was gonna be!.....so hopefully when i weigh myself next monday i will actually lose ONE pound at least!

 I'm glad you had a good day!  Even better, I'm glad you had only gained 4 oz.  I had 2 lemon squares for lunch and a bunch of pretzel crackers instead of my shake because the kids were stressing me out.  Call me lamous amos.  I had a regular dinner and a 100 cal cone just now and feel like I could eat on forever but am sipping on water to trick my hunger.

 You described what I used to be like, perfectly.  This is what helped me:

I don't eat anything from the time I wake up (4:00 am) until lunchtime (12 noon).  I just drink a lot of water and I drink decaf black coffee and Pepsi One (Pepsi One has an anorexic effect on me).  I have a good lunch, no junk but nutritious and filling, and a good dinner.  I have more noncalorie drinks and water throughout the day.  That's it and it works.

 Hi,

I just started today doing the slim fast shakes. Wow, you get up at 4:00am and don't eat anything until 12:00pm. Do you put the sugar and cream in your coffee? I have never tried pepsi one, just diet pepsi. Does it taste better? I've always read that breakfast was the most important meal? Is that not true?

Okay, first of all I don't want to offend anybody...but NOT eating breakfast is actually a really bad thing to do when you are trying to lose weight. Studies have proven that if you actually eat something for breakfast it's actually easier to lose weight and keep it off. So drink a shake or eat a bar, but don't skip all together. Your body goes into starvation mode and will actually hold on to fat.

I used to skip breakfast all the time, thinking it would help me lose weight, I would...a little..but always gained it back.  I've lost 20lbs so far....since June when I started the slimfast.

Again, not trying to critize, just trying to help...

 I force myself to eat breakfast, well now - gulp down a shake, to get my metabolism working.  Today was my 1 week mark and I'm down 3 lbs. so I feel great!  My hubby left this morning to go to work in New Mexico (we live in CA) and I'm going down to San Diego with my boys tomorrow morning for my nephew's b-day party on Saturday!  I plan on sticking with my shakes except for dinner.  I'm meeting up with a friend from highschool for dinner at Fudruckers tomorrow night.  I've never been there and I hope there'll be something sorta healthy to eat.  I'll be driving back here Saturday night so it will only be 2 days of temptation.  Wish me luck.  Good luck to all of you!!
