Hi everyone. Glad to find this forum. My daughter is 8 1/2 months. I teach so technically I work 40 hours but I squeeze in a few more hours after she goes to bed. I am starting to think that there really isn't 24 hours in a day cuz if there was I would be able to get a lot more done. I am really hoping that this website and slimfast will help get closer to my prepregnancy weight. I would like to lose about 30 pounds also. I have tried eathing healthy, weight watchers and other websites so this will be the one. Good luck to us all as we find success with each other.
HELLO Everyone. I am 25 and I have a 10 month old daughter. Im trying to loose atleast 30lbs. I currently weigh 215lbs. I really would love to make some to new friends so we could help each other stay on track.
I know what you mean! I work full time and go to school two nights a week. I feel like between that and the commute I have such a small amount of time to spend with my son (he just turned 1). On nights I don't have class I get home around 7 and usually snack on something while I feed him. Then I give him a bath, read to him & put him to bed. By the time he's asleep (usually around 9pm) I'm starving and cannot stop eating. I feel like from 9 - 11 I consume an enormous amount of calories. I know theres probably a better way to do it but I end up being so hungry I just want to eat. What are other people doing about night time snacking/ over eating? does anyone have any tips that work?
Okay, I was off to a good start last week. Then on Friday I had a moment of weakness and got french fries with lunch. I didn't eat very sensibly over the weekend, either. Am trying to get back on track today -- had my SF bar for breakfast. I'm going to weigh myself every Wednesday morning so I can see how I'm doing. I REALLY need to exercise, but I don't see where I'll find the time. Ack. Are you able to squeeze in some exercise?
I know what you mean Alison! I try to get everything done during the weekend as well as spend as much time just having fun with my kids! Let me know if you find a "mom clock" and I'm there!
Hi! I have a daughter, who just turned 1 this month, and I work full-time for a university. We're planning on trying for another baby later this year. It IS hard to find the time to get things done. When I get home in the evening, Clare is really clingy, so it's difficult to do laundry, start dinner, etc. I feel guilty telling her "just a few minutes" when she hasn't seen me all day. The end result is the house is not nearly as clean as I'd like it to be. I've also delayed her bedtime until 9:30 or 10:00 so we have time to read books and play (she usually takes a 2 hour+ nap). We need a "mom clock" with a few extra hours.
I could really use some support from other working moms! I have 3 kids, 9, 6, & 3. I work 40 hours per week and am on the board for my kids PTA. I feel like everyone wants a piece of me and there is never enough time in the day to get it all done! I eat well during the day but after the kids go to bed and I finally stop and sit down, I start snacking! I know this is the worst time to eat, but I could really use some tips or advise. Or just some friends to motivate and help motivate each other!
