  • Do you have a digital scales? Since I've used a digital one, my weigh-ins have been more accurate... nicer to see a number rather than a 'dial'..

    Just keep at it - and remember to drink lots of water. I hated to drink lots of water because it made me feel 'heavier'.. but water is in and out of your body faster than food etc...

    I was above 235 for a few weeks, but after some persistence I am now at 229/230, here we go! :)

  • Sometimes when you don't see the pounds dropping off, the inches are. The more inches you lose the looser your clothes will fit and you'll look so much thinner, so don't get discouraged about the scale let your clothes tell you how well you're doing. As long as you're following the program the pounds are going to start dropping off.

  • I have been eating snacks. I will drink a slimfast shake at 8:30am, about 10:30 I'll have a piece of fruit, drink another shake at 12:00, have another peice of fruit or a slimfast snack at like 2:30, dinner at 6:30 and a snack later on. I also exercise every day for 25-35min.

  • You are right, my body feels different also. Less....flabby I guess. :) I do feel better also. And I feel SOOO guilty if I don't work out.

  • have you been eating snacks between meals? I know when I first started I wasn't eating snacks, I was just having a shake for breakfast, a shake for lunch and dinner and maybe something after dinner. The first week I lost 4 lbs. after that I gained 1.5, then didnt lose or gain, the third week I gained ( but I had cheated the day before weigh in...stupid), then I got on the straight and narrow. I ate snacks at work all week, this week I lost 3.5 lbs and I am thrilled. If I had exercised more the number would have been bigger I'm sure. My short term goal is just to get under this 230, I weigh 236.5 now. I have been stuck above 230 for a while now, once I break that number it will be all downhill from there. I need to lose 70 lbs.

  • I am going through the same thing when I first switch to the slim fast I lost 5 pounds but, haven't been able to lose much since.  I still exercise and I am seeing improvements in mucles diffition.  Just remember mucles weigh more than fat so you are building mucles or that is what I keep telling myself.  I know I can see a difference in my legs and even my arms and back from doing the exercising.  I keep telling myself that sometime because of building all this mucles the scale is finally going to catch up with what I am doing.  I am much happier after I exercise and if I dont' get it in then I get really lazy.  So try to see how the exercising is making you feel and keep it up because it is having a postive affect on your attitude so that is a good thing.  I know it seems helpless when it feels like your working your butt off for nothing.  Just find the things that are positive about you working out without the scale moving down ward.  That is what I am trying to do.  Good luck on you reaching your goal.  Teri

  • I have begun my weight loss challenge January 1, 2009. I have over 100 pounds to loose. Since January 1st I have been on the slimfast diet. I have not been cheating. I have been working out almost everyday for 30min. The scale has not moved AT ALL!!

    Is there anyone out there who is facing a similar challenge. Does anyone have any advice, beside keep on keepn' on?
