  • I'm sick and tired of feeling "full" all the time...full of belly bulk!  I used to be a slim younger person and have been steadily gaining weight, little by little, over the past 17 years.  I'm ready to drop some of my frontal bulk and feel better in the clothes I wear.  My goal is to get down to a size 8 and be able bend forward without huffing and puffing!  Not to mention, I'm concerned about my health!

  • I decided to go on the Slim Fast Plan because it worked for me in the past.  I’m at that 50+ years old stage & EVERY little piece of candy, that small slice of cake seems to appear on the scale & stay.  Funny how that weight creeps up on you until you have that “OH NO!” moment.  I love chocolate so the Rich Chocolate Royale shakes keep my cravings under control.  My son graduates college next month so I’m hoping to be the “picture perfect” size by then!

  • I am doing this because I am tired of not fitting in my jeans and my feet have been hurting I think because of my weight.  I just have not been feeling good.  Heavy and tired all the time.  I need more energy and want to feel good and look good and confident of how I look.  Plus I hit the big 40 and that's a turning point I think in my life.  I want to have good health and look good.  I want to fit in those jeans in my closet that have been sitting there for ever.

  • My reasons:

    1. I'm going on a trip in about 6 or 7 weeks and want to lose 20 pounds before, I have 15 left to go.

    2. I'm so tired of being overweight! I was underweight or just simply small until I was 5, then I grew and grew. It was okay for a while because I didn't get too big, I was just chubby... By 12, I had reached 175. Scary scary stuff.

    3. Now I've gotten too close to 300 for my comfort, and I had told myself I would never reach that high.

    4. I want to be smaller by the time I turn 21, which is in a little over 6 months.

    5. I want to be able to get married thin, and be able to have a kid or maybe two when the time comes. I don't want to wait until it's too late and I feel completely pressured.

     I'm Erin. I'm doing this because I'm going on vacation end of June and I wanna be comfortable with myself in a bikini. I've always had issues with my body and I've never had the body to wear one. So, this June I'm hoping to look sexy on the beach. I have about 40lbs to lose. 

     Even if I didn't have this vacation coming up. I'd still like to lose weight. I'm considered "obese" on a BMI calculator. I wanna be healthy and love my body.

     

  • I have been wanting to loose wieght ever since I moved after my senior year and met my husband. I used to weigh 180, and I was comfortable with that, cause I felt sexy and I could wear everything that mostly everyone else could wear. Then I got to 200 and it kept going. needless to say I've gained 70 pounds off and on in the past 7 years. I'm not the only one that gained, my husband gained too. I want to loose weight because I plan on having children in the future. And I want to set an example for my kids and not have the same bad habits my mother had when I was growing up. She used to feed us hamburger helper and that beef stuff in a can...blah, can't even think about it. So here I am, and now that I just think of it, 7 lbs down for the 7 years i've started gaining weight. I'm sooo ready for this.

  • Hello everyone....So many of you sound like me. First off. There is diabetes in my family big time. I am 130 pounds over weight. I have had a sluggish metabolism since birth. When I was 6 months old, the doctor told my mom to put me on a low fat diet. Go figure. I have been a size 3 and up to a size 22 and every size in between. My smaller sizes were mostly because I starved myself and over exercised. But I couldn't stand how I felt when I did it that way. I felt so sick. I am on a healthier plan now. I need to lose this weight. I want to like ME on the outside as much as I like ME on the inside. I have 3 pair of pants to rotate. oh man....that's gotta change.

  • Thats a awesome topic to talk about!Ok ,well why does anybody want to lose weight to look and feel better.I will tell you why I actually wanted to really lose weight when I watched that show Diet Tribe I saw how those women struggled but they did it after there 90 days I could tell a differents they all looked great.They where pretty out of shape when they first started I new if they could do it I could.I also loved how they felt about them selfs I decieded I wanted to feel what those women felt.It is going to be hard work but I know I can do it .I am really looking forward to this path of hard work because I knowin the end I will be rewarded:)

    I completely agree. It will be harder to get in shape as we get older, so we better do it now. Plus, my husband really wants to have a kid but I don't want to get pregnant now and try to lose my current weight PLUS pregnancy weight. So I am waiting until I get down to the size I want to be before even thinking about kids. Plus, I like going out dancing at clubs and having fun, which I feel kind of stupid doing right now with all the small 23 yr olds at the clubs.

    So far I am not having a problem really keeping with the slimfast diet. I LOVE chocolate so as long as I can have 1 chocolate shake and a chocolate snack bar, then that craving is fixed. I live in Alabama so it is hard staying away from the fried food though. My biggest downfall is I loathe exercising!!! So I have to work on that.
