You might try LoEstrin. I have been on it for 2 years and have experienced no weight gain or bloating. The first month I did experience some pretty severe mood swings, but since you are already on a birth control pill you probably won’t have that problem.

Another suggestion that you might consider is changing one of your daily runs into strength training. If you are not already doing so, you will be pleasantly surprised at how helpful weight training is in boosting your metabolism and making you look and feel great. After 5 years of the same routine, your body probably needs something new to challenge and motivate it.

Good luck :0)

life changes

Hi Everyone,

I have been dieting for nearly 5 years now and I have never really had a problem staying motivated. All of the sudden I think the last 5 years have caught up with me. Yes, I am still dieting and yes I am still working out 4-5 days a week, but I've lost my spark. I just got married in June and now I have a husband and a house and a dog to take care of plus my full time job and I have noticed that I am just not giving it my all anymore. Also, I just started taking birth control about 5 months ago and I KNOW it is having an affect on my body. I have gained 3 pounds and I just feel swollen although my eating and exercise habits haven't changed. I am so frustrated that I feel like I cannot control the affect birth control is having on me and frustrated that I am too exhausted to kick my diet up a notch again. I maintain eating 1300 calories a day and running 6 miles at least 4 days a week. Shouldn't this be enough? Any thoughts on how I can kick my diet up another notch without trying to jam one more thing into my already hectic life? I cannot eat less calories because I don't have enough energy to get through the day and I am just too tired at night to add in another work out. I started drinking more water and I am hoping this helps, but any other ideas? Anyone know of a birth control that is known for not making girls gain weight???
