  • well looks like nobody has posted on here in quite a while so its kinda a lost cause... but just saying it out loud (in a way) makes it much more real for me. Im just starting and need to lose about 8 dress sizes, i dont want to look at it in terms of weight because weight means nothing to me i want to feel better and look better! so here is looking to a size 9/10. not gonna waste my money on new clothes that wont fit in a few months, so once my pants start falling off of me time for a new game! i play a lot of games bored games card games video games all of it :D makes me happy so, close start fallin off time for a new game! and NO NEW GAMES UNTIL THEN.

  • PS

Carvel as in the ice cream?  I have never heard of carvel so I did a search on it.

  • Hum, i wish I had a good answer for you!  I just picked a few things that I would enjoy and went with them.  Then I made small goals for ten pounds every six weeks.  That is just over a pound and a half a week.  I haven't made one yet but each time I get closer and closer!  I know that this next goal is the goal I am going to reach!

Don't feel guilty, if you worked hard and lost the weight that you had set for your goal then you deserve to indulge a little doing or eating what ever makes you happy.  I like camping with the horses so this spring/summer if I reach a goal I am going to pick a new park to go to!

Just don't make yourself feel bad.  It takes a lot of work and self control and you are going to slip up, that is to be expected.  Heck, on weekends sometimes I totally blow my diet!  I am good as long as we don't go out or visit people.  If we do I drink and eat crap I shouldn't!  But that is okay, everyone needs that once in awhile.  I just tell myself that tomorrow I have to get back on track, then I make sure that I do!  The days that I want to lay in bed and sleep I tell myself that I want to be thin more then I want to sleep longer.  I also tell myself then when I do lose the weight then I can sleep in I wont have to get up every morning to workout!

    Best luck!

  • I'm so jealous that you all have a goal and a reward.  y problem is this: I HAVE NO REWARD!  I really can't come up with anything because I feel like the second I reward myself, I fall off the plan.  I'm a gym rat to begin with, but I've lost the motivation to climb harder or lift more reps.  I am quitting everything too fast because I'm getting nowhere with the plan.  All I want is to NOT feel guilty and bad anymore.  Can anyone suggest a reward based on that?  i don't want new shoes or ice cream.  I want to feel happy, but... Carvel makes me happy.  HELP!

  • I love giving myself little challenges.  I started in the end Oct 09 with 60 pounds to lose!  That seemed like so much to me so I started with a goal I called new me in the new year.  I wanted to lose 18 pounds, which I was three pounds from but I didn't let that bother me. I congratulated myself on the weight I did lose and started a new one.

The one I just finished was 'loving less of me' for Valentines day!  I was a pound away from my goal so closer then the last challenge!

My new goal is 'In like a fat lamb out like a lioness'!  Get it?  For March the month the comes in like either a lamb or a loin and goes out like the other .  Ha Ha!  I am going for 10 pounds by March 13st! I am trying to think of a little reward to give myself if I reach it.  I was thinking of a weekend girls trip.

Would anyone like to join in, in this challenge?  Not sure what I will be calling my next challenge yet but I am sure I will come up with something.

  • hey everyone, I hope we are all still trying to achieve our small goals and reward ourselves. Seems like alot of people are disappearing from this site....lol. of course there are plenty of new ones to join in too. Which is great. anyway, I made it this week, I completed six days of workouts and now I get 2hrs to do whatever I want...lol. not sure what yet, but I am going to relax and enjoy it. Good luck to everyone for this week, I am sticking with the same goal cause I need at least 6 workouts a wk & I may add some extra cardio to shake things up a bit. Stay focused everyone.....summer is on its way!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have decided for every 10 pounds I lose, I will gift myself with a massage.  There is a spa school close to where I live that does them for a really good price since it gives the students the experience they need.  Since I want to lose around 110 pounds, that will be 11 massages.  Can't beat that.  Then when I reach my half-way point, I will buy myself a pair of Cole Haan shoes.  (Cole Haan has come up with a way to incorporate Nike Air technology into dress shoes.)  Then I will get another pair when I reach my goal weight.  :D

  • Don't feel bad, I had to bail on my work out due to my ear infection and then the cleanse I was doing, I was afraid to allow for any sudden movements (LOL).  I did walk this morning and didn't munch all night last night at SB game.  I was proud of myself.  I could have, believe me, but now my hubby is wanting to lose weight and that helps so much to have him right there not onl.y supporting, but also willing.  Don't feel bad, you did good. BTW, thanks for the congrats, it felt good.  It seems like it is true, the older you are, the harder it is and AMEN to that.

  • Hey everyone, Okay I didn't make the 6days of working out this week. I had a stomach bug of some sort one day & bailed on my workout. However, I am still doing the sf shakes and eating healthy, controlled portions. So, I am not going to freak out and beat myself up cause I do feel the difference from the workouts I did get to do this week. The muscles are definitely getting tighter..wooho0!!! BTW congrats to adgeralds for making one of her goals this week...awesome!!! My new goal for this week (starting Monday) is to workout 6days a week and my reward will be a couple hours of "me" time to do whatever I want and feel good about accomplishing my goal. Hope everyone else is doing good...hang in there and stay focused.... remember it takes time, energy, effort and forgiveness to change  your life!!!!!!!! but it can be done.....

  • Hi everyone-I hope you all are doing great on your challenges. My week got a bit busy and I didn't manage to get my challenge for this week posted as planned. I went grocery shopping, stopped by PetSmart fod puppy food and came home with a new puppy-needless to say Sunday afternoon was shot! Due to the Super Bowl on Sunday I'm posting my challenge for next week now so the same thing doesn't happen again.
My challenge for Feb 1st-7th is to do the 10 Minute Trainer at least once per day with my daughter. Our reward will be to watch a movie together.

adgeralds-I hope you are feeling better. :)

Be the change you want to see in the world!
