  • Just sighned up on the Slim Fast program.  Starting tomorrow.  I am excited to start the program and was happy to see that there will be lots of support.  I am 64 and hope we can all be successful together.  Good luck to all

    I am Vivian and also from Illinois glad to meet you, I am not new to slim fast but the site has sure changed a lot. Good to hear that you are trying your best to lose the weight and hopefully the party you did not eat to much, but as long as you go back to your schedule of eating right it should be ok. I was told when we do good through the week we can treat ourselves at least twice a month.

  • Hi Everyone I am new here this site has sure change alot I have done slimfast before and it worked great. Now in my 50's can't seem to lose the weight and need lots of motivation since losing my job 2 years ago I have become depress but eating is not what I have problems with is just losing it. I don't over eat but do eat late at nite which I know is not good, but hopefully I can find some friends here and get motivated and get going....Viv

  • Hi Jackie. Most of us from the original (disgruntled) Over 50 group have moved to myfitnesspal. Over there I am PAnn1. Look me up if you go there. Their food and exercise calculators are great!

  • I'm not sure.  I've totally given up on Slim-Fast.  just watching what I eat and recording it on My Fitness Pal.  so much better than this site.

    I am 54, and have been with SF on and off for about 2/3 years now.  The first time I was here, along with walking, I lost 50 pounds.  Once they changed it, I kind of lost interest and gained some of the weight back.  Summer came and I went back down again.  Over the winter, I gained 30 pounds back.  I came back to SF and it's been changed again.  I don't know why, but it's very slow going from page to page.  Almost like I'm on dial up.  Don't like this new SF, AT ALL.

    I'm not using any of the SF products.  Not because of the recall, but, they are not filling for me.  Instead, for breakfast I drink a large glass of chocolate milk.  For lunch, I'll eat a couple of granola bars, then for dinner it's a regular meal.  I've also taken up taekwondo.  I need that to help firm me up, plus it will help take the weight off.  I also don't feel like I'm exercising.  I LOATHE to exercise.  I started taekwondo three weeks ago, and have lost 8 pounds.

    I, too, will be going on vacation in August.  Going to Portland, ME to visit my daughter, her husband and grand daughter.  I don't want to go fat.  She has seen me yoyo her whole life.  She is nice and skinny.  Both my daughters are, although I know the youngest could really gain if she eats too much.

    I live in NC.  Where are you from?
