  • That is were I am at now.  I am trying to change up my exercise routine so I don't get bored because I think that is what happened.  I found a group of women to do a boot camp with twice a week.  Working out with other people is more exciting than doing it by myself.

  • Thanks for your good advice! I think I have spring fever and need to get outdoors a race/walk some hilly terrain. That's great that you're dancing. That really gets the blood pumping! I hope to ease into running before too long. I read that runners live an average of 15 yrs. longer than most people. That sounded incredible to me! I used to run half marathons. Now I'm working on getting this extra 20 lbs off! I could use a buddy to keep me encouraged. I know you have several, but if you don't mind another one, I'd be glad to do the same for you. Let me know and have a nice night. Mo Thornton

  • It sounds like you were doing great try to remember why you started in the first place. It could be that you got bored with what you were doing for excersise try something new maybe water arobics or a dance class I watch dancing with the stars and they all say how they lose tons of weight, anything that gets you moving. You can do it! Be strong!

  • Help! I was on a roll after the New Year! I joined a gym and found myself actually enjoying the treadmill and elliptical trainer. I also found a neat tip that if you pedal backwards on the elliptcal you really work those glutes and thighs! That was a nice bonus! I was pretty pumped. But, these days a book calls my name more than the gym. Worse I'm experiencing sugar cravings and sometimes give in. It's starting to show. The scale has edged up five pounds and I'm heartbroken. What can get me jumpstarted again? I really need an M80 under me to blast me into action because my motivation is so low and my visualisation of exercise practically gives me a literal anxiety attack. I don't want to be seen in tights. Or even shorts and a tee shirt. But I've got to get back to the gym! Thanks for any and all suggestions. Mo Thornton
