  • Poledancer,

AWESOME JOB! I hope you continue to "hang around" this thread to help us with motivation, knowing you did it and so can we! No only did you succeed for yourself, but you got your family in a more healthy mind set at the same time.

  • Artgirl,

Congratulations on making it through your birthday without major issues! I'm proud of you! Yaaaaay!

Thanks for your thoughtful input. Since my intentions were not to binge, and since I know what you are talking about in re WW and the extra points per week, I have decided that I am C1D8 today. I am motivated to continue to do better each day. For instance, tomorrow I will be starting the stationary bike. My plan is to last as long as possible and make that my starting point with the intention of increasing the amount of time each time I am on it until I reach 30 to 45 minutes. I know I won't be able to do this every day given my insane schedule, but I want to do it at least 3 times per week. So, wish me luck!

  • C1D14    Happy Birthday to you.  I turned 45 last month and with that made a vow to get myself back in shape.  My father died at 43 of heart disease, so....

I have been keeping track of my weight at home and then we are doing my weight at work for the biggest loser.  I decided to go with the weight at work.  The scales are a little different.  That being said, I am down 8 lbs and have lost 4.6% total body weight.  I am so excited.  I have to be honest, I didn't think I would do as well this week because I didnt exercise or drink water as much.  I agree that planning ahead and writing down everything, reading the posts and posting yourself is a big help.

I try to eat about every three hrs doing the day.  7am shake, 10 am snack, 1pm lunch, 4pm snack and dinner around 7-8pm.  sometimes a snack later on.  I know dinner is late, but my husband comes home late.  I do not go to bed until 10 or later.

Today, I am drinking water or cystal light.  I have not had soda (I only drink diet) for 14 days.  Yeah.  Do you think the crystal light is okay?

Good Job everyone on your venture of 21 days binge free.  7 more to go for me.  If I can do it you all can.

  • First and foremost, I must say that this is becoming my favorite forum very quickley. I notice that, even though its myfirst day, i try not to eat bad so that i dont have to write it up here!

okay soooo its my first day ya'll and one shake is not enough! i have the strawberries and cream and i was hungry after 10 minutes of drinking it so i had another one. by lunch time i was full with guilt! so i counted that extra shake as lunch and just had green tea with honey. after lunch snack i had 5 honey wheat braided pretzels, i couldnt resist!

i just keep thinking about how i have to loose at least 10 pounds by valentines day to buy some linergie sales :)

dinner ill keep moderate and tommorows my birthday ya'll so wish me luck! my mom was saying to make lasagna for my 19th, but i told her to stick with fish. wish me luck! we can do this!!

    take care, and happy day!

    love, marruu <3

  • Ok.  I'm in.  C1D1 for me right now.  Here's hoping.

    Thanks everyone!

  • Hey all,

Not sure if I'm doing this right so would somoene please let me know? Anyway I'm working on C1D2 and doing pretty well, I think. I am at the library right now and can't wait to go home and grab something to ead and then jump on the bike. Congrats on making it through you're birthday. If it was me I would have said I'll start the day after I guess I'll see where I am at my birthday in six months. The harder one for me is my hubby's birthday which, is in about six weeks. At least by then I will hopefully have made it through a couple cycles and have lost a bit of weight and that will be an incentive not to completly loose it when we go out to eat. Now that I think about it I'm a bit nervous because we will probably go somewhere with his family and they like places like Golden Coral. Anyway I just wanted to say HI and congrats and good luck to you all...hang in there!!!

  • i have lot track of everything, almost even my motivation. I don't have any clue why or what happened, but I am losing control and I hate it.  I can't say I haven't kept up me end of the challenge, I am just not as motivated as I was last week.  I was posting 4-5 times a day and drinking my water and exercising and everything.  I am still out here and am trying to make it.  I am hoping to get some help.

  • ArtGirl!! Congrats on making it through your own birthday!! Knowing me, I would definitely plan around it or just go for it! :\ Nice job!!

C1D18 for me and it is all somewhat second nature now. The kids get excited when I start cooking dinner because it's always something new for them, they're really getting into it. For my snack at night I have frozen grapes. Measured out my cup last night and my 14 year old looked at me a little strange - because they were frozen, and then tried one. I said "Well?" he said "hm....they're like candy" So, it's taught my entire family that eating right can taste good - if not better than unhealthy eating. AND the way you feel after you eat, both mentally and physically is rewarding in itself.

Pants are fitting loose (ok, they're fitting like they should). This was exactly the "challenge" I needed to push me into really seeing what a difference a healthy lifestyle can make - and, aside from the bad breath and the gas..LOL (both of which I can treat I'm sure), it's an incredible start. I hope to be a success story even if it is 15 pounds. I can say though, the inches are coming off MUCH quicker than the pounds, and I gotta say that I'm perfectly ok with that. :)

Now my husband is trying desperately to catch up...and make sure he gives me a kiss at least once during our workout at the gym when he notices a guy looking a little too closely. he-he. can't say that it's a bad thing for me!

Have a wonderful day and a healthy weekend. This is my last weekend on the challenge, but my habits have changed so dramatically that I'm hoping my own motivation will take me all the way....and further.

    Cheers!

  • C1D2  I did it!  I made it through my own birthday with out binging or eating just because.  It is great we have so many new people.  I decided to just keep this same thread going instead of starting a new one over each day.   Less pressure for me.

Dawn--I think you know if you should move a day or start over.  I used to do weight Watchers and what I liked was that you got some flex points for days like you had.  Each week you had about the equivilent of 500 calories to play with during the week.  I would say if you did not binge and just went a little over, keep going in your cycle.  If you feel like that would sabatage your momentum or not be true to you, then start the 21 days over.  You are an inspiration either way and I am so glad you are on this journey with us to breaking bad habits and retraining new ones.

Welcome all our new people today!!

    Good luck today.

  • Wow okay this came right  at the perfect time. It gives me an incentive to really try toe program....Today was a good day C1D1 DOWN....I hope you all were as successfuil and if it was a hrd day...that's okay just keep on goin' Thank you all for making me so excited about doing this...It will be hard but in the end aren't most things that are worth it hard????
