  • I too have made the commitment to lose weight.  I have to do this!!  I have until the middle of February to make a difference in my weight and blood sugar levels or the doctor will start me on insulin.  I don't want that!!!! When I was first diagnosed, I made the decision to be very strict with myself.  That lasted about 1 1/2 years.  Then I got so sick and tired of worrying about every little thing that went into my mouth that I went totally the other way.  I had been working out 6 days a week - that stopped.  I stopped thinking about how damaging my eating could be.  Well...now I have to come back to reality.  Finding that motivation to get up and move is tough.  I work hard all day and when I come home I collapse into a chair.  But this is the time to change!!

  • I am making the committment to lose weight.  and I know it won't be easy so I am hoping to find a buddy who can help keep me motivated.  Back in October 2007 I was on Weight Watchers. I was doing going good Till I stareted taking seizures, found out I was a diabetic and other heath problems which caused me to go on medical leave now I am home 24/7, I got depressed not being able go places so I eat for comfort. I live with food temptations all hours of the day.  I weigh 227 I would like to get down to 140# mark on the scales this year.  My goal is to lose it by our family christmas get together December 12!   I know with the movitation of family and friends I can do this.
