I just put up my first post with the group. I got married sept 08. I tried all summer long to get from a size 12 to an 8. I had my dress picked out in a size 8. I thought that would motivate me. I also got a personal trainer and joined Jenney Craig. I eventually had to return the size 8 and get a size 12. I was sooo disappointed in myself. I wish you the best of luck. Now we are taking the same cruise this sept. for our first anniversary and I want to be able to wear a bikini and feel good about myself. I am hoping witht the online help I can do it with slimfast. One thing I learned from the trainer and Jenney failures was not to set myself up. I worked out too much and would end up with pulled muscles and waiting to recover. As far as Jenney went, I was always hungry! By the time I got home from work I was starved. I could scarf down a handful of anything before my tiny little meal came out of the microwave. It was so small and not so appetizing. At least with slim fast you eat a real dinner. One thing I am going to try is to prepare ahead, sip some low sodium tomato juice and eat some carrot sticks while cooking. Also I think I am better working out in a low impact way. I am 47 and my joints can hurt sometimes. When are you getting married? Congrats! Hopefully we can encourage each other and give each other tips.

Hi ms, welcome to the group. Slim Fast does offer alot of help, tracking of food and exercise and weight. I also am losing weight, for my son's graduation and myself. So far with slimfast and exercise I've lost 15lb. So it's very possible if you stick to it. My plan is to drop about 55-60 lbs. If you want a buddy who will keep motivating you I'm it..Just take it a few pounds at a time for you don't get discouraged.  Zelda
