  • Hi Amy ! This is Anita. I understand completely where your coming from. You have tons of diets out there but I always seem to come back to Slimfast. My oldest daughter graduates in June and would like to try to be down about 30 pounds by then. You know everyone thinks they have to take all them damn pics......................lol. I have put on weight with the stress of having to take care of my mother in law. She is now in a nursing home so its time to concentrate on me. I just need motivation!

  • Hi! Everyone here just sounds so amazing that I had to reply. I am not usually one to post things, I am really shy, but it is just so great to hear how motivating everyone is with each other here. And to know that I am not alone in my situation. I am 20 and want so badly to lose about 20lbs fast! I have a big dance coming up, and want to look great in my dress! In the past I have always made up some excuse not to go to the dances when in reality I just didn't want to wear a dress in public. Like I said, I'm really shy, and not liking the way you look at all in addition to that has kind of made me miss out on a lot of experiences I think I may regret later on down the road.

    I am starting the Slim-Fast plan today. I heard from a friend that it works well. I am praying she is right! I will be anyone's buddy. Anything you need I will be here. If anyone would like to be my buddy too I could really really use a friend to help me out. :) Good luck to everyone! You'll do great! Let me know if you would like to work together to look great!

  • Hi,,, i'll stay on the site and we can all motivate each other.  I am starting slim fast today for probably the 10th time.  But I am determined to make this work this time.  The taste is great, the snacks are great, it is just hard to break the bad habits.... Let's help each other.  I have 50 to lose by September 23rd for a vacation to Mexico.

  • Hello ladies, I know it's tough trying to lose weight, but we have to stay strong and so no to the cravings. Stay on track and keep exercising and you will see results. If anyone out there needs a buddy I'm here. I know how it feels to be alone when you're trying to lose weight and the craving don't help.I'm trying to lose twenty pounds.  Nancy

  • hi everyone. i joined this site a few years ago and never did anything with it.  back then i was around 140 lbs and wanting to lose about 20. well now i weigh 176-something's got to change, so i decided to really use slimfast online for my benefit.

    i joined a gym last year because i was working parttime, so i would have the time after work to go. well about 3 months after joining, i got a promotion at work which meant i was now fulltime.  on top of that, i decided to go back to school to get another degree, but since i am fulltime, i take classes at nite. needless to say, i havent been back to the gym since.

    i have no motivation to go out on wknds with friends because i'm always self conscious of my double chin or muffin top. and to top it all off, i just learned that my boyfriend is planning on proposing this year! i can't start a new chapter in my life feeling the way i do now about myself. i know i can do it, i just need the motivation and help that comes with this whole process.

    so this is where we all come in for each other.  i could use as many friends on here as i can get, who know what i'm going through and vice versa. the reason why we're all on this site is to live a happier and healthier life. i get that, you guys get that. i really think we can all do this! i know we can! we just need each other's help! i've read all of your posts, and i can relate to each and every one of them - feeling alone, upset, not being the person outside that you feel you are inside...i'm here to help you out! can you help me?

  • im new to the site, but i saw your post.. i have tried everything in the past including the slim fast... but now im doing the slim fast low carb with a food journal..i think that and with the site here it will be easier not to mess up.. only thing..is this site runs really slow on my computer..my connection seems to be fine.. dont know if anyone else having this problem..

    the food journal helps because not only do you right what you eat..but when you get hungry or a craving..put that in... what you are feeling at the time...(hungry, sad, craving, stressed) and what you are doing exactly at that moment.. i noticed how much i felt like eating when i wasnt hungry, but watching tv.. it was like it was a power of suggestion by seeing other people eat or food commercials on there..

    i have to lose 60 pounds  or so... but if i make that my goal it wont happen.. so im starting  by losing 20 lbs by an april baby shower i need to be at. (my sis will be there ) we havent spoken since xmas when she called me fat.. and i have been working out and watching what i eat,,but nothing... im hoping that being this cautious and concious of what im doing will make the difference. ive also traded my old cardio workouts for conditioning and strength training.. its like boot camp and im doing it 5 times a week.. its not easy... and sometimes not fun... but i dont want to be this size anymore.. to big to be happy or healthy..but not big enough to have the surgery. i feel alone alot... no one in my house is really helping much.. but i will press on

  • Hi I am trying to lose weight so I will feel better. My knees hurt alot and so does my back.   My husband likes to snack  (even tho he is dieting also) so the stuff is in the house.  So far I have lost 20 lbs and want to lose 15 more. It doesn't sound like alot but I am the heaviest woman in my family rihgt now and I want to get my weight down where it should be.  I have my neice getting married in May and I want to lose the wieght and get a special dress for the weeding.  I havent bought a new dress in years.  

    Right now all my clothes are really loose on me. I am wanting to wait on buying clothes after I have lost these next 15 lbs. I need encouragement to exercise.  I now have a turkey neck and loose skin on my upper arms that I want to get rid of.  Any suggestions would help me now.

  • hi, i just want to say that i know what you are going through my father and sister both had weight loss surgery and i really dont want to get up to the point where that is my only option. i have goten away from the family house full of food but living at the dorms gets boring with nothing to do but snack. i could really use a friend to help me out. i am a really upbeat person and would love to help you out as well. My goal right now is just to lose 25lbs by my birthday in april.but in total i will still have a ways to go after that.
