  • A lot of places now have "light" menus....something I like to do is order off the kids menu since it's MUCH smaller portions than the regular menu BUT you have to watch that sometimes because some places don't allow you to. I just try to stay away from fried foods..go for the grilled or baked instead....I also try to avoid pasta..which is my weakness but if it's the evening and I've already done my work out I know I'm not going to burn off the carbs I'm shoveling in LOL....that's what I do hope that helps :)

  • My weakness for McD's is the worst at breakfast.  So, when the drive thru calls loudly on the way to work, I get an egg mcmuffin 300 calories and an UNsweet tea.  I skip the hashbrown.

  • I go eat at Chile's and order the Grilled Salmon with Steamed, Seasoned Veggies (Broccoli, Carrots, Corn) with Mashed Potatoes (it has the skin in it which is good for you) and it's mouth watering good and nutricious. I could eat salmon all day, every day! It doesnt make you gain any weight, either. Yum!

    I SEEM TO END UP @ THESE RESTAURANTS WHEN I GET TOGETHER W/FRIENDS QUITE OFTEN. I TRY TO PREPLAN WHAT I WILL EAT SO THERE IS LESS CHANCE OF SLIPUPS.

    RED LOBSTER HAS THE LIGHT HOUSE MENU WHICH IS LOWER  CALORIES...I HAVE GRILLED SHRIMP, & SEASONED VEGGIES WHEN I GO, THEY WILL GIVE YOU DOUBLE SEASONED VEGGIES (USUALLY BROCCOLI,ZUCCHINI, CARROTS) INSTEAD OF RICE PILAF IF YOU WANT IT. THEY ALSO HAVE OTHER THINGS BUT I LIKE THE SHRIMP. THEY ALSO LIST CALORIES,FAT ON THESE ITEMS.

    APPLEBEES HAS SOME WEIGHT WATCHERS ITEMS ON THEIR MENU. I LIKE THE STEAK & PORTOBELLO MUSHROOM W/VEGGIES & POTATOES FOR 330 CALS. THEY LIST CALORIES ON THEIR WEBSITE.

    TACO JOHNS HAS AMENU ITEMS LISTED W/10 GM OF FAT  OR LESS- YOU CAN GET TACOS FOR  180 CALS, ETC. NUTRITION INFO ON THEIR WEBSITE.

    TACO BELL HAS A FRESCO MENU WITH 6 ITEMS FOR 330 CAL OR LESS, INCLUDES TACO, BURRITO, ETC. THESE ARE LISTED @ TAKO JOHNS.

    MCDONALDS HAS PHAMPLETS W/NUTRITIONAL INFO IN THEIR RESTAURANTS, ALSO LISTS IT ON THE REVERSE OF THEIR PLACEMATS.

    EVEN PIZZA HUT LISTS CALORIES, ETC ON THE INTERNET...MOST OF THESE REST. LIST NUTRITION INFO ON THE NET...I KEEP A FOLDER IN MY CAR FOR A QUICK CK IF WE STOP @  ONE OF THOSE PLACES.

    I LIKE TO CK LABEL INFO @ WWW.THECALORIECOUNTER.COM . THEY DON'T ALWAYS HAVE EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE EATTING BUT USUALLY CAN FIND SOMETHING SIMILAR.
