Kim has a great idea about bringing your own dressing. The dressings can kill you in calories! What I've been doing is having a Slim Fast Snack Bar before going to dinner. This way I don't feel so hungry and am not tempted to order a huge, heavy meal. The other thing I have done is to change my mindset about what's on the menu. Again, like Kim, I go out the door with my mind focused on what sort of delicious soup and salad meal I will be ordering. No cream soups, only vinegarette dressing (or bring your own), no bread, no desserts. You will save money on dinner ordering soup & salad instead of an entree and passing up dessert. If you still feel a dessert craving, stash a snack bar in your purse and in case of emergency, have at it... You'll be saving a gazillion calories and sparing yourself the guilt trip later!
