  • My husband and I bought our daughter (well.. technically Santa bought her.. LOL) Nintendo Wii and Wii Fit for Christmas.  I am a Wii Fit addict!  I had lost weight prior to slimfast just by using 30 minutes of the Wii fit everyday.  I like the step aerobics, the yoga is great before bed as I find it to be calming and relaxing, and then with the Wii, I play a lot of the Wii sports like tennis and baseball where I have to be active.

I've noticed 30 minutes a day, every day may not sound like much ~ but it adds up quick!

Also, I noticed that now there are additional games for Wii Fit that I'm going to have to buy!  I believe its Wii Fit Trainer? or something like that and it offers more variety.

I have recommended this thing to everyone I know, its such a convienience and I like the way it measures body weight, including BMI.

  • That's great Heather,

Soccer still kicks my butt.  I have done the skiing and it seems I do great one time and then it's the agony of defeat next time. The one where you ski between flags, if I pick up speed I miss to many.

Basic stepping it keeps telling me to step slower... any slower I'll miss have the steps  :-)  LOL

I think my Wii Fit weighs me a little less than the home scale.  If I have an early dr appointment I weigh myself wearing evything I would at the office and compare the 2 weights. My home sale is usuay lighter.

I wish the Wii Fit had an on-line room that you could share/challenge others the various scores and such

I like the Hool-a-hoop game too

  • I finally got my Wii Fit!!! I have done it 3 days now, I love the aerobics!! Interestingly, my co-workers have said it weighs them lower than their scales, but I find that it adds almost 8lbs over my bathroom scale. Makes me a bit dejected that I haven't really lost 12lbs...but maybe it would have weighed me heavier before I started SF, too? I was able to go out this week and buy pants a size smaller and they fit pretty well. I have been on vacation this week and going out to dinner, etc, so I have "fallen off the wagon". Going back to my routine should help next week, I hope. Now, to keep using the Fit everyday, hoping it boosts the weight loss!

Tim, I see what you mean about the soccer...I must have some major black eyes and broken nose by now from those stupid cleats they kick at me! My 8 year old kicks my butt at that game! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the stepping!!

    Best to all!!!!

    Heather

  • Hi Tim I'm glad you are doing good. I am too. I am down 8 pounds now and I am so happy. I still do my walking I want to add a little more time to my walking around March 1st. I figure I will be doing the 1 hour walk for about a month and that would be a good time to up the time a little. I figured I will try for another 15 minutes and see how that goes.

I have see some yoga workouts on my on-demand on my cable and I have watched them and said no way I will fall on my face. LOL

Well again I'm glad you are doing really well. My husband is still saying he needs to invent a device that makes you feel it when you get hit by something he is such a meanie. LOL

  • Hello all,

I'm doing pretty well on the Wii Fit and as I progress I get new activites that unlock.  The Soccer game is still kicking my butt, but I'm doing better on the Skiing and the stepping.  The hool-a-hoop I am doing pretty good too.  Trying more yoga positions and need to do more strength training ones.

My weight was finally a good one this morning, I still like Wii weigh in better than my home scale  :-)

  • Hello :)

I also own a Wii Fit and was disappointed when I bought it and realized I was too heavy for it. I have about 23 lbs to lose before I can even use it. I was embarrassed when I stepped on it to get weighed and the dang thang told me to get off! LOL Glad I can laugh about it now.

I can't wait til I get to use it. I'm not much of an exerciser and I'm hoping to put a little fun into my life that will get me up and moving.

  • No thanks I don't need a modification...:-)

Luckily the snow passed to the south of us, which is a good thing since we are running out room for more.

I know I would have a humous version that would scream in pain as you stepped on the Fit.  Then it would sigh loudly when you get off it  :-)

That's great that you lost 2 lbs

  • Oh my goodness my husband did do it. He said he was going to fly to NY and tinker with you Wii fit and make it where you feel the things hitting you. Oh no. I can't believe he did that. LOL

I am glad you are getting a good workout using it.

Did you get all that snow that you said you were supposed to get today? I hope not. I am so sick of winter.

I got a good chuckle out of the O.M.G. or ouch. It could have been worse it could have screamed. LOL

Well I am down 2 more pounds I am so happy.

    Keep up the good work
