  • So what exactly are you craving??? Any thing in perticular? Do you like Jell-o? If yes why not make lots of sugar free jello in little 1 cup serving containers (add fruit cocktail for added taste)  and keep them stocked in the refrig.  Heck with nothing added it's like 40 calories for the whole box.  It fulls you up and tasty.

    I use the powder shake mix at home and it's the French vanilla mix.  I make shakes and add fruit to them.  I have added Bananas, strawberries and even peaches to them for added flavor and my daily intake of fruit as well. I tried pears but just not the same. I have made thicker shakes by adding ice to them as well.  I have a small personal size blender to do this in, Hamilton Beach if I remember correctly.  I used to use the big bulky one but it was getting to be a pain to clean unless I made up a mix for later.

    Find other things to strave off your craving...I been down that road numerous time and still have those urges but try to work thru them.

  • Well, today is just one of those days I can't stand!  I can't go out because of the snow and its just me, the kitchen, and possibly the Dunkin' Donuts up the street.  There is pressure from all sides, both inside and out. In my head I am arguing with myself because yesterday was technically my diet breaking day and I was only able to eat breakfast and dinner because I was so full, so in my head I am saying: "Did you really eat THAT many calories yesterday?" and "Is one more day REALLY going to make that big of a difference?"  Everyone is getting together for the football game tonight (Go Steelers!) and no one can believe that I am not going to make my spinach and cheese dip mix or that I can't enjoy a glass of regular pepsi.  Its days like this that continuing to be strong is the hardest and as much as my "thin and never had to worry about a calorie in their lives" family members try to act like they understand, they just don't know the extent of the dilemma in my head.  Some days are just fine; the days when I am at work and didn't bring anything else but my granola bites, water, and a packet of oatmeal, but these days just AGONIZING!  I just am trying SO hard to remember that dieting sucessfully is completely about choice: the choice to eat in moderation, the choice to exercise, and the choice to continue in a positive pattern--its not about feeling, emotion, or the influence of your family and friends (although all of that plays a part).  When it comes down to it, its about making small choices in the right direction, one day at a time---heck, on days like this, one hour at a time! 

    And its days like this when I truly have to consider the value I put on food.  Is it worth it?  Because its not just about giving in this ONE time, its about creating a pattern that starts with small choices in the wrong direction that lead to me gaining all 104lbs back. 

    Today I HAVE to make the right choices and I could definately use some support doing it!
