  • I love this challege too! We have made a commitment and we are sticking to it.  I exercised for six days... gave myself the day off yesterday to let my muscles rest.  I'm on vacation next week (going home to western NY) so I will have lots of extra time to exercise. I am taking several workout DVD's, my Jillian Wii, and my hand weights.  Also, I plan to take some a walk everyday while there.  I'll be driving for nine hours tomorrow, so that will be hard sitting still for that long.  Of course, I'll have my four year old grandson with me, so I'm sure we will need to stop several times while on the road.... I can at least get in some stretching when we stop. I will miss having internet access for the next nine days, but I will be thinking of you.  I hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving. Keep up the good work!

    11/13: 10 situps, 10 lunges, 10 windmills (and elliptical daily)

    11/20: 20 situps, 20 lunges, 20 windmills (and some form of cardio daily while on vacation)

  • This was a great idea, Coni. I don't think I would have tried dancing at all without the challange.  But dancing again was much more difficult than I expected! Whew! And sore!!!  Anyway the first day I only did 2 minutes and by the third day(yesterday) I was up to 7 minutes. I am doing this three days a week. I am doing good at my 3 times a week weight training as part of that have upped my treadmill time from 2 minutes five weeks ago to 12 minutes now. I am also trying to make sure I get to hike up the bluff three days a week and the last three times I helped drag wood home, but the weather can easily derail me on that. I am even restless sometimes, because I still have some unused energy and it has been years since that happened. Thanks Coni! have a great day everyone, Suzanne

  • So how did everyone's week go??  Speaking purely on the exercise portion of my life.. it is doing great.  I did accomplish my goal so this week I’m doubling some amounts and increasing the jumping rope to 15 min plus increasing the days to 6 days a week.  Can't wait to hear how everyone else did and if you didn't start last week, START TODAY!!!

    11/ 13- 10 sit ups

    11/ 20- 20 sit ups

                 15 min jumping rope

                  20 jumping jacks

     

    FYI:  6 weeks will be New Years Day.. PERFECT
