  • Welcome to the group!  I think one of the great things about slim fast is you kind of get your sweet fix with it!  The snack bars and the rich chocolate brownie meal bars are so good!!!  Ice cream is my  downfall too!  I buy skinny cow ice cream sandwiches and allow myself one as a treat!  Walking is great!  I too hated exercise but now feel like I need to do it every day!  Congrats and good luck!  Mary

  • Thank you SisterC !!! My downfall is ice cream...so I decided to cut down to 1/2 - 1 scoop small rather than 2 HUGE scoops tht I normally eat. My friend told me I need to re-think how and what I eat and when its best to eat, but mainly listen to my body. Yesterday ( 07/07) using my pedometer I walked 186 steps...0.86 miles, so today I'm gonna try to walk a little more,and a little more each day till my body gets used to it.

    Thank you for your reply . Right now I'm keeping track of what I eat and my moods and I have a pedometer so yesterday ( 07/07) I walked general walking, 186 steps, 0.86 miles it said. That may not seem like alot but I gotta start out slow and start out somewhere and I'm trying to cut down on my amount and portions of my food intake. So today I put down on my activity log- walking 186 steps and see if I can beat tht a little bit,and go a little bit more each day.

  • Welcome Cindy!!  Congrats to you for joining the site...it is the best!  Sweets have always been my choice of poison too....but now since I am eating healthier...I don't even crave them anymore...weird, I know.  For a while when I first started the program, I would crave Dove milk chocolates...as everyone here knows!  But now, I can't even remember the last time I even had one...and I really don't want one.  Maybe it is my mindset...eat sweets, gain weight, be unhappy or eat healthy, lose weight and be happier...the choice is mine.  And I have found that walking curbs the appetite...maybe because I know how much more I will need to walk to burn off those empty calories.  So, you see, you are not alone and everyone here is going to support you and offer advice.... just believe in yourself; you can do this!   • Helloooooooooo!  Welcome!  I'm sure you will find this site very helpful and supportive.  You sound like me...love to eat, love sweets and we won't even talk about exercise.  I've been on SF for about 2 1/2 months and I've enjoyed it completely.  I'm losing weight and believe it or not, I'm beginning to enjoy my walks alot!  I find the more I walk the more I want to walk.   Reading these posts has helped me alot too.  Good luck and keep coming back!

    I just joined this group today and joined yesterday the SlimFast website. I love to eat and I love sweets,and hate exercise.  I plan to do alot of walking to start out slowly.
