  • You are so right about the tracker helping stay accountable.  I have forced myself to log my food in even if I didn't eat quite the right thing.  It's just going to be something I do...then I can look back and say..."well, geez Lora...what did you expect!".  No way to deny there, huh?  LOL.

    Welcome to the group!  I think the food/meal tracker is great!  It really helps me stay accountable.  I know that a sure sign that I am headed for trouble is when I DON'T put my meals down.  Isn't denial amazing?? lol.  I like your Weight Loss Ticker - will have to get one too.  Have a wonderful week! (raising my Optima Shake in a toast lol).

  • Hey Mike (from a former Portlander),

    This is week 2 for me and it's actually been going pretty good.  The weekends are the hardest for me because my time isnt structured like it is while I am working during the week.  I did have a minor success on our traditional pizza night this last friday.  I made a vow that I was going to eat half of what I normally would eat and also tailored the rest of my day to include a lot of "good food" and splurge with the half/pizza.  I'm not sure if that is the best way to do things lol, but it worked for me.  I know myself too well to know that if I deny myself completely, I'll just go wild and throw caution to the wind.

    The other thing I am anxiously awaiting is to be able to weigh myself on my scale at home.  I hate admitting this, but my scale supposedly weighs up to 400 and all I am getting is an error message at this point......ugh.  BUT, I can tell that I am losing because of my clothing and my seat belt and I'll just have to be satisfied with that for now.

  • Hi! I'm just getting started this week. I'll be stopping in and out and find it very helpful to have buddies. Sharing the frustrations help a lot. So far I'm doing good...of course it's only been a day and a half but we have to start somewhere. I've been filling out my meal plan and have the whole week's meals and snacks planned. I actually think this will help me a lot. If I tend to stray from my plan I update with what I actually eat. The web tools here will be a big help for me I think.

    Just started last week, have been doing ok but it would be nice to be able to share frustrations about cravings.   Also want to hear how other people have done.
