  • There you go!

  • Well finally after losing 28 pounds my weight loss was noticed at work by 3 different people. Of course I did go into work today with a new fitted outfit I bought yesterday as part of 25 pound goal. The compliments I got were you're getting to be a skinny minny, your withering away to nothing and your  losing weight aren't you? The funny thing is they weren't by the people I expected them from. The people I am  closest to at work haven't said a thing yet.

  • Trust me Shylin 24 POUNDS they notice! go ahead girl! They probably notice your face slimming down. So your hair and makeup they think looks different. : ) Change your clothes up they will say something then.

  • I've been wondering the same thing.  My family sorta notices but only because they know I am doing sf.  When I weighed 135 and lost 15 pounds everyone was shocked and everyone noticed.  Now I lose 15 pounds and I'm still wearing the same clothes so I agree that the percentage of weight must make a difference.  I hate the attention, but it would be nice to have people notice (just as long as they don't watch me!).  Good luck everyone!

  • I was at around 40 lbs before anyone mentioned it to me....and then very few people...but I was okay with that...don't like the pressure of everyone watching me either.  Even though I have been eating healthy since mid-Jan, someone asked me just the other day how I dropped the weight so quick...they hadn't noticed anything til late summer and then thought I had lost it all in several months!!!  LOL Just keep doing what you are doing...they are going to notice...sooner or later...trust me!  Hugs, SisterC

  • I've lost 31 pounds and not had one person say anything to me.  I like it better that way, I hate the pressure of people knowing I am losing weight and watching everything I do or eat.  I know I look better and that my clothes fit better so that's enough for me for now.  I've gotten some of those other types of compliments lately so maybe it's the same phenomenon where they just can't put their finger on it.

  • First Shylin, I bet you are looking good.. half way to your goal.. it has got to be showing at this point.  My clothes, and maybe you can relate to this.. will take a while before they are falling off me.  I stopped buying clothes many pounds back.  If you think about that you have two people: one with clothes that fit and one with tight clothes , same weight same size.  They lose 25 pounds each, same people one person will need to be buying new clothes the other not so much.  Co-workers your right they see you every day.. it is hard to see a pound by pound change because they just get use to seeing you.. If you are getting other compliments, hair/make-up/sweater: then you are looking better, they are either trying to put their finger on the change or    some feel it is rude to talk about weight.  Keep up all your hard work.. half way there, must be an amazing feeling!  Peace Coni

  • 1. Sometimes people don't want to say something because they are nervous you might take it the wrong way, i.e. "Oh, now I look good - are you saying I was fat before!?"

    2. The loss is proportionally smaller on a larger frame than on a smaller frame. If someone who is 100lbs loses 5 lbs it is a big percent... me? I can shift that much in water weight week to week!

I'm sure you're looking good, and taking care of yourself always feels good. People will speak up soon - especially when you shop for some new threads!

  • my weightloss was noticeable after about 30lb i think that if your clothing was baggy and your hair and makeup was the same the people you worked with no you have loss weight they probly just dont want to admit to it i had a co-worker a guy said to me tam have you lost weight now that whole summer i wore shorter skirts and fitted shirts and was looking good i might add and everyone else had notice then i put on 15lb and then he told me you have lost alot of weight talk about being p.o i relate this just to say people now even if they don't say anything but on the down side the will be the first to whisper she's gain some weight so don't worry just keep up the good work and soon your going to turn heads at a 360 degree angle

  • I was wondering how long it took most of you before others started noticing your weight loss. I don't talk about trying to lose weight at work so noone knows I have been on the SF plan or exercising but so far I have lost 24 pounds in 2 months and noone has noticed. I'm fine with that. I am more the kind of person that likes to keep my weight loss efforts more private to those around me except for my family and closest friends. I also think it may be because I am in contact with these people every single day, not like going to my hair dresser every 6 weeks so she notices a big change! I just remember the last time I had lost alot of weight several years ago I had lost 50 pounds before anyone noticed. Then once one person knew it spread around like wildfire. LOL. Anyway, I think it's interesting. Of course I have to admit I'm still wearing all the same clothes though they are getting baggier. I have noticed over the past couple weeks I have been getting compliments in other forms; like I like how your doing your hair (same way I've always fixed it) or is that a new sweater (nope old one) or are you fixing your makeup different (same old, same old)? So they are noticing something different about me just haven't put their finger on it.
