  • Hi Laura, Congrats on joining the site and making a start to lose that extra weight!  Anytime you log onto this site, you are going to find other members that share in your same challenges and have the same concerns...you are never alone on this journey!  And the people here are the best!  Whenever you need support, motivation, advice or just a kick in the behind; there is going to be someone that will help you out... You know this plan works from past experience...I think the hardest part of any plan is to take care of yourself...do what is best for you and make it a priority....you deserve to be healthy too.  We are all in this together!  Wishing you the best on this wonderful journey...Hugs, SisterC

    I am new on here too. I just turned 26 and I want to lose 120 lbs. I am frustrated. I have been big ALL my life and it never seems to change. I have a 2yr old daughter that I want to play with but I don't have the energy. I have been on and off diets all my life. I do get depressed about my weight too but I am trying yet again. If you ever want to talk, Message me anytime!!

  • Hi Laura.  You've come to the right place!  This site has been a tremendous help to me in my weightloss journey.  I started SlimFast on Sept. 1 at 240 pounds.  Since then, I have lost 26 pounds, putting me at 214.  This plan does work.  My top tips are to be sure to DRINK your WATER, stay away from foods that you know will cause you to lose control (for me, that's high carb stuff, like cookies and crackers), and check in on this site regularly.  The people here are a HUGE part of my success.  I don't think I would have gotten nearly this far without them.  Best wishes to you.  God Bless -- Hilary

  • Laura- I'm overwhelmed too! I'm just taking it day by day and giving myself a pat on the back at the end of each day. I feel like I'll be motivated by keeping in touch with people on here and I hope that you stay motivated too. I'll be your buddy :)

  • Hi, I’m starting my diet today and I’m a bit overwhelmed. I’m 20 years old and I weigh 230 pounds my goal it to get down to 130-135, but I would like a buddy to talk to and keep me motivated. I have used slim fast before, for my 15th birth day and lost around 40 pounds and got to 130, then I started to neglect my weight and got to my now very distressing weight.
