Oh, good to know!  It was Costco that had the drinks that weren't as comparable.

Not sure which "imposter" brands you're referring to, but I usually use either Target or Walmart "Ultra" ready-to-drink shakes, and the nutrition information is just about identical to SF "Optima."  Maybe not all of the ingredients are exactly the same, but I was more concerned with the vitamins, protein, sugar and fiber contents.  I love the Chocolate flavors.  Target even has 20 calories less than SF, Walmart has 10 less.  I did get a regular case of SF once and it tasted slightly better, but not enough that it was a big deal to me.  I think the main thing is following the plan.

I don't know about coupons...but as far as the powder vs. cans...I prefer the powder.  I think it tastes much better.  But, for me, they both fill me up the same...haven't noticed a difference.  Generally, I drink 2 chocolate royale shakes (powder) a day.  But, my Tuesdays and Thursdays are really busy, so I sometimes have a can of cappuccino  or strawberry SF for breakfast.

I'm new.  Was standing looking at my choices in Walmart and I did see there brand for a 1$ savings on a six pack of cans.  I pulled both six packs out and turned the packs over to compare side by side.  The thing that popped out to me was even though I'd save 1$ and 10 calories a drink, the MAIN ingredient in the store brand was WATER.  I slid the store brand back on the shelf and went with SF brand.  I do have some questions if anyone knows

1. do you know of any on-line coupons I can get for slim-fast?

2. does the powder fill you up as much as the cans do?  

I like the taste of the Slim-fast shakes over the Low price everyday brand.  I mainly do the powder so I don't buy much in the way of cans.  In cans it's the strawberry for me, in powder it's only the French Vanilla.  Never liked the Chocolate flavors and I love chocolate...oh well...

"Imposter."...you are such a hoot!!  I have never bought anything but the sf shakes so I don't know how others compare....although there are some members that are using the store brands because they are cheaper....I think they are doing okay, but I am sure that they have to figure those extra calories and other things into their daily calorie/nutrient plan.  It is a great idea to balance your day with one of each...then you are only consuming half of the calories instead of the extra 80 per day.....smart girl!!  Keep working the plan!  Hugs, SisterC

Hi all.  I bought a case of 24 "weight loss shakes" "compare to slim fast", store brand cans.  So, I've been drinking them for about a week and I notice that there really is a difference.  Lots more sodium, carbs and 40 additional calories.  Two shakes a day, that's an extra 80 calories.  80x7 days = 560 extra calories in a week.  May not be a huge amount, but I think I will stick with sf.  I won't waste these, but I bought another case of sf and will drink one sf and one "imposter sf" to balance out the extra cal/carbs/sodium.  =)
