  • Hang in there. Its only been a month and it takes time to lose the baby weight plus your hormones are still coming down, so some of those cravings you had with the baby are stilling around. My husband always said he would help me too. But I would get mad when he say some thing so I learned a long time again I have to take charge of my own body. When he has a bad snack in the bed get a healthy one so it feels like your eating some thing too.  My baby is 2 and half months and it still hard for me. I had lost three and then gain 2 then lost 3 again. So it is a on going battle. Plus you can not do any working out or running till your six week check up. That way they can make sure you are healing good. Take care and take it slow.

  • I am 20 and also a brand new mother.  My daughter is a month old yesterday, and I have about 50 lbs to lose too.  My boyfriend is great, but he just doesn't understand how to be supportive.  He will eat my healthy food with me, but then buys all this junk food and brings it into the bedroom, eats it right in front of me.  He says that he wants to be my coach, but then says he's too tired to go jogging with me.  Without anyone pushing me I feel like giving up.

  • Hang in there. My husbands in the army and works out three times a day. I stay home all day with my two kids, cleaning all day. When he comes home its time for dinner and he wants to work out. By the time he is done its time to put the kids to bed and I am popped from the night feedings and cleaning all day that I can not find the time to even get a walk in. But we will do it just remeber that. It will be hard but it can be done. Well thats what I am telling my self. Even though its hard to beleive some times. But I want this and I can do it and so can you. Keep smiling and just keep looking at that sweet little life in front of you. :)

  • Hugs!  First - congrats on your LO!  My son is 14 months old & honest to goodness - it does get easier... I never thought I'd make it working FT & having him... Crazy me, it's going easy enough - I want to do it all over again.  :)

Remember - it took 9+ months to gain all the weight, it will take that much to  lose it.

  • I hear that :( I stayed at home for a while and it just seems like I'm taxing my son around.

It's hard to find time to get out the door and walk the dog or excercise, let alone cook something healthy!

    :( don't be depressed...

  • I feel the same way. I have a 3 month old and a 4 year old. I try to find time to work out and eat healthy but between the kids, my home,  and my 40+ hr job it is nearly impossible. I just try and motivate myself the best I can. My fiancee tries to help but there is only so much he can do. It is all me. My down fall is I have no will power. I try and exercise between cleaning.  For example when I do laundry I use one of those exercise balls and try and tone up for the small amount I can. I want to lose about 20lbs so I can fit back into my clothes. Hopefully this diet will work. I guess only time will tell. good luck

  • I am 24 and I am a Brand Spankin' New mommy. My daughter is 10 weeks old today, and I have about 50 lbs to lose. I have very little support at home. My house is a mess, and rather than take time for myself to go work out, I have to stay home and clean it up, just so it can get messy again. My fiance is super supportive in that he recommended me to this program (from a tv commercial). He even said he would do it with me. However, he drinks a shake and then has a full meal, cooks FULL of fats (butter, fried stuff, salt), and doesnt exercise. So even tho he is mentally supportive, he is not physically supportive. He will make me a meal that is healthy, but said that he wont eat it all the time. So, I feel like I am doing this alone.

Anyone else sturggling with post-partum depression AND weight?
