  • Hi, just when you get to the SLIF-FAST site and sign-in, then click on "My Meal Plan" and that takes you right to the menu for the day and the other week days are listed with it.

Hope this works for you.  I sleep late in the mornings and so when I have breakfast I mostly have the shake and also my morning snack - I try to make the snack compatible with the shake and to a breakfast meal.

Now, as to computer buttons to push (lol) you can't be more computer illiterate than I am!!!!

Keep in touch - I write a message every morning saying Good (whatever day it is)Morning Buddies or just invite me to be your buddy.

  • OH yeah! The weightwatcher meals are awesome! My favorite is the garlic herb chicken with stirfry sauce on the side.

I have not tried the current WW desserts, a while back I did try the WW cheesecake but it was discontinued. It was awesome!

  • Hey Thanks! I am going to try it. I usually have a milk choc shake or vanilla shake (powder) with 1/2 banana for breakfast. I need another suggestion, these are the only 2 I like so far. I tried the muffins and they were gross! I do like the peanut butter crunch bar, it is good! I like some of the slimfast meal to go bars like the cookie dough.

I get tired of the same old stuff and that makes me go nuts, LOL! Some days I do awesome and then others I blow it. I am trying really hard to make it work for me.

    Talk soon, Dedeslim16

  • Hi Barbee!  It's taken me forever to log on and find someone or a group (guess I'm not too computer literate!!).  I got a ton of Slimfast and will begin my program in the morning.  How did you get started and what computer buttons should I push?!!

  • I see you guys talking about menus - have any of you tried the daily menu provided online?  They have suggestions but then you can substitute many different things until you come up with a menu you like for the day.  I take one day and go through the menu for the week and come up with one that I can live with.  The one thing is watch the values for the daily menu and keep pretty close to the same values.

Just though I'd throw in that tip.

  • Thanks for the tip on diet1.  I'll try that.  Hope you got lots of walking in on the field trip.  It's great that you write down a meal plan every day.  That makes it much easier!

    Good luck with your dance.

  • take a can of creamy milk chocolate ready made slim-fast shake (I'm guessing any of the chocolate ones would be fine, this is just what I had)

combine with 1c of frozen mixed berries.  Mix in blender, being sure to allow air in at the end of the mixing time (some have caps that remove from the top of the lids).  This mixes in some air so your total quantity is greater.

I didn't get it from anywhere--years ago I did another weight loss program and I drank 3 shakes a day.  This mixed it up and let me get some fruit in too.  Let me know what you think!

  • Hey, where can I get a copy of that shake you mentioned? I am always willing to try something new.

I have not been able to get on lately, lots of end of school year stuff going on!

I hope to get on daily soon. I have enjoyed reading the post when I can.

    Thanks, dedeslim16

  • Hey Deb,

I was having a very tough week, but more chaos than food issues!  I have been working all week except for Monday, but I was there anyway because my F-I-L had surgery.  My husband went to Chicago to check on our son, and take of some things with school up there, so it's been girls' week until tomorrow night.  But tomorrow will be fun because I will be going on an all-day field trip with my daughter to the state capitol.  I have never been there.  For some reason I missed the trip with the middle child went.  Unfortunately, at 11pm, I will be on call so it could get ugly if I am overtired.  Thank goodness the full moon is tonight .

I have only gotten my tap class in, and all the walking tomorrow, so I am kinda disappointed that I haven't gotten more exercise this week.  Did I just say that?  Actually, I was getting into scheduling it into my schedule.  Hopefully I can get back to it monday.

Next week is "hell week" for dance--rehearsals every night, and dress rehearsal Friday.

I am pretty good about eating, but being diabetic is a double-edge.  It keeps me in line, but the "prescription" of calories and  carbs keep me a lot of times from losing.  It is so slow if ever.  I'm not on meds.  I usually do good eating out because I am kinda afraid.  I do badly when I don't have a plan for the day written down.  Even if something changes, on the fly I can usually handle one meal.  But sweets, especially on a busy at work.  The bunch constantly order out and bring in junk food and sweets.

That shake sounds good.  I will have to try it, especially if it is filling.  Speaking of your app, there is a free text that you can try to get the nutritional information of lots of foods.  You can text to diet1 the names of restaurants and the food you want to know and it will send it back to you really fast, so it is great for traveling, especially to national places.

I need to get back to getting ready for the AM so I will talk to you over the weekend.  Have a good Friday!  Kathy
