  • I agree with qwho. Its mostly about portion size. I also love to try new healthy reciepts. Last night i made the hidden veggie meatballs (found the reciept on here). Even my husband loved them. Frozen meals are also good and the variety is huge. Before slimfast I had a lot of fast food, so now I am just cutting that out and making better decisions.

    I am making sure not to deny myself anything, cravings spell disaster.

    So I figure out what it is I am most craving and have the proper serving size of it, it is really about eating slow, savoring the food and it is the first tastes of what you are craving that matters, after that it is just excess. I find once I am trying to eat healthier and make better choices, I often find I have the calories left to have some dessert or another, and choose not to. Eat slowly, give yourself a half hour after you finish a meal and then if you are still really hungry, have some fruit or pretzels or animal crackers, yogurt etc. if you must.

    Lean cuisine meals work for me if I am not going to cook, delicious, fast and relatively healthy (since nothing processed is healthy). If you are craving a hamburger, have one, but a serving is 4 oz, and buy 93% lean (very tasty). I found it was my portion sizes that were out of whack and using a diet scale and keeping a food diary (online, so easy) keeps track of everything you put into your mouth

  • I usually fix something quick like a smart ones or lean cuisine meal and a Just for one veggie.  I also like to eat sandwiches and salad.  As you can see, I don't like to cook :-).

  • Planning on strarting Tuesday after Labor Day and would like to be in this group, even a week late. Some of the balanced meals they recommend look really good, however I am not into a lot of meal prep and cooking. That's one of the reasons I need to loose weight, I like to grab what is fast and convienent. How are most of ya'll handling your balanced meal? Thanks for the advice.
